I really like this apron but it's for someone with much smaller shoulders than me. It's a nice color and weight and it's easy to move around in, but it doesn't cover my chest at all. Even without my chest, most of my chest would be exposed to spatter etc, defeating the purpose of the apron. If you are small this might work. and I'm 4'11" tall so it's all about your proportions!

This apron is NOT for busty women! I'm 40DD and there was no chance this would fit. The X-shaped shoulder straps are sewn on (sewn on) so cannot be adjusted. This is a really great apron! The fabric feels dense and does not tear. The skirt is full. Overall I'm just sad it didn't fit as it's a really nice apron with loads of character.

I knew I was risking ordering something affordable one size fits all, but that's not just for the 'slim figure', it's true for the petite figure as well. I'm 5ft 7" and the belt fits snugly around my 36ddd bust, almost empire style. For someone with a flatter chest and shorter torso, this will likely be a good fit. The label says 20% linen, 80% cotton, but the fabric is heavy without the texture I usually associate with linen. Gray is a very dark and solid color.

Although the straps are really made for a larger size, the bib of this apron is not very wide. I'm a tall woman and I really like the fit of the ties and skirt, but when I'm working or cooking the bust area needs to be covered as well. One of the main reasons you need an apron is to keep the front clean and unfortunately this apron doesn't have enough coverage to really do that in my chest area (and I'm not what most consider a large bust , pretty average actually). Not sure where or how the 39" x 59" size comes into play - the apron I received wasn't a size to match one of these numbers matched. The front panel was 10 inches wide. The top of the "skirt" portion of the apron was barely 30 inches long at the waist and wider at the bottom. Definitely not for overweight people, especially not for people with large bust sizes. The first one I bought came loose in my hand tying it the first week I wore it. It's probably just a one-time bug and I can fix it, so no big deal. I LOVE the idea of a vintage apron and had considered many of them at Revain but was afraid to order one based on size ratings and the 'women/girls' heading which brought it to my attention made possibility for very petite women. So I would like to address those of you who have doubts. Since I bought the light blue apron, I've washed it twice in warm water and dried it normally. It washes beautifully and doesn't shrink enough to alter the fit. The fabric is neither too stiff nor too thin. Great

Anyway, the first thing I will say about this apron is that the fabric is good. and exactly what I wanted! This is a denser and sharper linen.
