This is a great product and I'm glad I have it for ironing small items like doll and baby clothes. The rug is thick and dense and I didn't notice any heat (I used it on my cherry blossom sewing table). It would also be great to use when traveling or at conventions or shows if you do. Very well made and worth it.

This PERFECT size rug can replace the homemade ironing board on the small wooden TV stand I use next to my sewing machine. It is almost the same size as the countertop. I like how the wool material holds the stitches, especially when using steam or spray. It just seems like the abs hold up way better than they do on a standard ironing board. I have to admit that it's also a handy temporary pincushion while you work. It can be used on either side and I expect it to last for years.
