Description of Lovejoy D4B Universal Setscrew Diameter

Single pin and block universal joint for applications with up to 25 degrees angular misalignment and speeds up to 1,750 RPM. Compensates for angular misalignments and shaft separation. Steel for strength and durability. Bored hubs fit onto shafts without the need for machining. Operating temperatures range from -30 to 212 degrees F.

Cheaply Made Collar, Not Worth It

As a result of using this product I found that the set screw was too small and stripped easily, making it impossible to properly secure the collar on the shaft. The only pro is that it was affordable, but the cons outweigh this as it's essentially useless. Don't waste your money on this product..

No instructions in couplers, clamps and universal couplers

Probably should have known how to install this item on the shaft. There were no instructions for it at all. After finding out that it was slightly less bored than the 3/8" shank I had, I figured it needed to be heated to expand it so it would slide onto the shank. Anyway, I did made and then lubricated. From the moment it was heated the factory grease burned out. For the quality I still give 5 stars. Very well made and should last a lifetime.
