Make no mistake - this is NOT a satin pillow!

The first thing I noticed when I unpacked the pillowcase was how scratchy it was. Then I looked at the label: it says "Satin Pillow" on the top, but further down you can actually see that it's 100% polyester.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT

Although the product is fine, it is 100% false advertising. It's polyester, not silk. If you need a real silk pillowcase, look elsewhere. This is satin, not silk. Thus, the benefits for skin and hair are not comparable to a silk pillowcase.

This is not the silk pillowcase you are looking for.

Read the description - this is a polyester pillowcase and only 'fabric' counts as 'satin'. It's not the silky pillow you're looking for - it's like sleeping on plastic material, much like Barbie clothes. It also doesn't cool down and doesn't bother you when you pull your skin.

Great for skin and hair!

That's all I sleep on. These aren't those ridiculously soft, flimsy satin pillowcases that some people love. I personally find them too soft and too thin. It's like I'm feeling the pillow too much and it wears out so quickly and then gets caught on the hair which defeats the purpose. So these beauties stay in stock! They are good for my skin and hair.

Good product at a low price

I'm a student and I noticed that my hair is tangled because of the cotton pillowcase. It was a pretty good purchase and overall I'm happy with my purchase. I've washed it twice and it still looks good. I turned black so I wouldn't see a lot of wrinkles. You can tell its not real silk but for $8 how could it be. The hair began to dry less. I just wish it was a little softer.

My new favorite pillowcases are so soft!

Great pillowcases! They come in a very cute packaging. They are soft, soft, soft! I've been sleeping on it for a few weeks now and feel very comfortable. Haven't noticed any improvement in hair or skin/wrinkles as stated in the product description. Others have said that the fabric can be damaged in the washer/dryer, I just wash them on the cold/warm gentle cycle then hang to dry, works great so far!

I'll try to update this review once I've worn it down a bit. In the meantime, I can say that I appreciate the price, the packaging, the softness and the convenience. By the way, many may not know that "satin" is a fabric and can be made from any fabric. These covers are clearly marked as "microfiber polyester".
