🧽 Pack of 12 Foam Filters for Fluval 404, 405, 406 External Filter by LTWHOME Review

Very porous foam compared to what I had. It seems to work, but I doubt I caught more particles on my old filters due to their denser structure. Although it seems to work, I'll probably choose a different brand next time.

I found absolutely no difference between this and the original. Some people mention that they fell apart, which got me thinking a bit. but they lasted about 3 months. such a great value in my opinion. Would buy again.

These foam trays are exactly what they say they are - versatile. Their quality is not very high and they are very tough. However, they do the job and fit my Fluval 406 filter for my 100 gallon fresh water tank.

The original 406 foam pads that came with the new filter were denser than replacement Fluval filters. These generic filters are closer in density to the original filters. The price was great and they fit perfectly. Delivery took about 2 weeks.

Longer than expected. I had to cut them off. It didn't matter much. Now I use an extra length - a brush for cleaning glass and jewelry. No thick foam. I would like it thicker. When I rinsed it the white particles came off so make sure you rinse it well before putting it in the canister.

These universal filters are great. I've been buying originals for a long time and they only came in packs of 2 and I always needed 4 for my can of Fluval 405. For some reason I've never seen regular foam filters, but they're 1/3 the price of the original, and heck, they're just foam rubber anyway.

For the most part they seem to be doing a good job of keeping the tank clean. The reason for 2 starts is a chemical smell that does not go away. This is really bad, even after I cleaned them very well before putting them in. I will clean the remaining 6 and put them outside for a couple of weeks before using them. If the smell is still there then throw it away and I will buy Fluval brand filter pads. Disappointing.
