Not Worth the Purchase

THIS hydraulic filter for automotive use was a total waste of money. Despite following installation instructions the filter only lasted a few weeks before needing replacement... The only pro was that it was priced lower than other options on the market. The cons, however, far outweighed the cost savings - poor durability, decreased engine performance and ultimately, it failed to properly filter contaminants. I would not recommend this product to other car owners..

A repainted frame? for spare parts

Fits as expected and does not fall out. But when tightened with a filter wrench, some of the white paint flaked off. It is Fram Orange under White color. Doesn't look like the orange has been scratched, just white paint on it. I'm not a Fram fan at all. Their products are marginal at best and leverage a previously respected name. I can't think of any reason to paint a filter orange and then white unless it started life as an orange fram filter. Maybe it's fram seconds? I am a former automotive…
