Blown Wiring - Reptiles and Amphibians

The base and tab inside flexed when I screwed in a lightbulb, shorted out the socket and the smoke went everywhere and burned through my wires. Do not buy!

I think it's a 15+ A unit

Not only did this thing destroy my working ceramic lightbulb that I just pulled from another unit, it exploded and has a 15 -A fuse blown. Perfect shit

horrible heat lamp jig

literally held it for a good 3 minutes, screwed the jig in, tried to pull it back out and the part you screw it into came loose. now inappropriate. very upset

It's hard to tell what size you'll get

There are two sizes, but when ordering, it's hard to tell which one you'll get. I assumed the smaller one was about a dollar less and I was right, but if I had gotten the wrong one I would have given it a one star rating.

Love the matte black

Wish it had come with a clip or hook. We plan to use the hook in the future, but the clamp was needed just prior to completing the section. We fastened it around the old collar. But the hood works and looks good. Matte black has changed everything for me and we will replace all of our hoods with it when they need replacing.

Confusing power. Be careful if the seller does not specify here.

The product description and product photos clearly state that both 5.5" and (8.5?) lights have a maximum load of 250W. The actual product tells me the max load is 250w outside and the max load is 100w inside the fixture. It looks good though and I'm sure it's a better fixture than the one I'm using. I just need to confirm what's wrong with the 100w sticker then I'll give an honest review and review.
