Ideal for the aircraft industry.

If you are an aircraft or glider service technician this tape is for you as it eliminates the need to convert fractions to coarse decimal numbers on long measurements. I've been working for 20 years and I've memorized most of the conversions, but I still love having that cassette so I don't have to think about it on the fly.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Socket required

What a WIP! Update: It broke after 6 months of heavy use

This is a great little band. The only negative is that it's too flimsy and pulls too fast. The result is the WIP of death. I got to the point where I was completely deformed for the first 2 inches. I'm literally afraid of it. The first days of January were very cold and WIP got me. oh pain. But I love decimal inches and seeing scales. Only reason I bought it.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old

Not a standard tape, not handy for practical measurements

I bought this tape to go with my Stanley 25' FatMax and I have to say I rarely use it (more on that later). It is primarily technical tape so it is not used much on our site but that aspect makes it quite confusing to read unless you have a specific use for technical tape. For those who don't. I don't know, but technical tape isn't delineated by feet: it's a continuous row of inches. For example, 5'-5" is not "5'-5" but 65". I previously thought this would be a useful feature when we are…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember
