The tool is very well made and works as intended. It may take some practice and adjustment to get a clean and straight tip. Works very well if you have a supply of good wood.

This is a pretty cool tool. However, remember that the shank of your project needs to be fairly round before you start using the tenon tool. Otherwise you may end up with a broken piece of wood. I recommend the tool, but there is a learning curve.

Very robust construction and ease of use. Make sure you have a 1/2 inch chuck. That's 4 stars instead of 5 just because I found the bolt diameter size to be quite annoying. If there were a second screw with a spring washer, the size adjustment would be very easy. Follow launch speed instructions to avoid snapping the trunk. Depth scopes are actually very useful.

I used a caliper to adjust the gap between the blades. I'm making a diagram for future reference. The blades move back 0.01 to 0.02 inch after use. I increased the diameter of the tenon by about 0.05" and tapped it a little with a grinder after that. Good prep of the wood helps in the beginning. And those who are on the fence.
