There are 3 handy cascading telescoping sections that allow me to get the perfect length. The soft part of the handle offers a comfortable and firm grip. I have an update, I took apart the boom pole and put a braided sleeve on top and the noise is completely gone. It's a real must, but it works, although it makes the setup a bit more complicated.
