Get the perfect length

There are 3 handy cascading telescoping sections that allow me to get the perfect length. The soft part of the handle offers a comfortable and firm grip. Cable quality is bad. works for the audio processed in post and for speech. Since I only received the item a week ago, I will keep an eye on the shelf life.

Broke after moderate use.

I was thrilled when I first received this product. I like the built in XLR and the quality of the stick seems very good for the price and it's a great starting point for a beginner. Unfortunately, I have to say that the thing broke after maybe four shoots. The top extension flew out and is now just spinning back and forth. I was able to salvage it during filming by wrapping it in gaff tape, but this took away one of my stretch points and it looks very unprofessional. Anyway, if you literally…

DO NOT BUY! in Camera & Photo

Let me start by saying that I have purchased this product 3 times, the first was just a stem with no cables. The instructions that came with the product say you can run your own XLR through the bar. There is an XLR male connector on the underside that needs to be unwound. It doesn't unwind, or rather it's sealed so it doesn't unwind. Thought it was just a defective model, asked for a replacement. #2 replacement stem, no cable, I still can't unscrew the end cap, again the instructions INSIDE the

Poorly thought out.

I was excited when I bought this barbell as I thought it was a great deal with lots of great features. However, it fell apart after a few months of use. Customer service was great and sent me a new pole but a replacement pole arrived that was ALREADY BROKEN IN THREE PLACES. The two pieces didn't tighten and the XLR connector on the bottom (I bought the version with the internal cable) was pushed into the unit and unusable. I thought about trying another replacement but not worth rushing at the…

Choose It A Rode Handlebar

If you're torn between choosing a Rode Handlebar and this one, get this one. It's better than the alternative and the price is a steal. This bar exceeded my expectations for something in this price range. The thing is really easy. Wrap the cable neatly around the pole and tape it in place in several places and the thing is quiet, no rattling. The twist locks work great and lock securely when tightened. The rubberized grip feels comfortable. The only complaint is that you sometimes feel a slight

Outstanding product!

Big shaft. I actually went to B&H not long ago and looked at some of the sticks they had there and felt like I had a lot of them. Good balance between price and weight. The fact that you can route the cable down the middle is cool. However, if you want to connect an XLR to a bar, you will need to cut the wire and solder it after passing it through. Although it really shouldn't be a bad job. Even without running a cable up the bar (which I personally haven't done), the bar is great. Also…

Very good arrow

Pretty good arrow. For its price, it's about what you would expect. I used it once for a 16 hour shoot. Pros - Lightweight. Very light for a rod of this length. So far it looks good and solid. The connecting rings for each section feel like lightweight plastic, but they do the job of holding the sections securely. It has a hollow body and an outlet at both ends. Not big enough for an XLR or even a 1/4" jack, but you can embed a cable in it, which I will do. , or you must move during the…

Lots of noise inside (unless you modify it)

I have an update, I took apart the boom pole and put a braided sleeve on top and the noise is completely gone. It's a real must, but it works, although it makes the setup a bit more complicated. The exchange is worthwhile. The braided cable sheath can be found here. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FR1B3T7/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 If you need to disassemble the bottom, you must first remove the rubber grip that touches the bottom to reveal the screw hole. The screw inside

Broken and only noticed after first use.

Arrived broken. I didn't realize this until I first used it for my commercial setup. The stand just slid out and dangled by the XLR cable. As I watched what was going wrong, I noticed that one of the screw knobs was missing a piece of plastic that would help tighten it onto the large stand. I found this out after comparing it to other pens that had a plastic part and showed the correct functionality. I was disappointed when I received a defective item. Couldn't even use it. I'm also not sure…
