Worked for me on sills

I was planning on reusing the old one but it was a little different and didn't stick to the sill. They're not at Home Depot or Lowe's or Menard's. I went to the MD website to get the correct part number. It was cheaper at Home Depot but I needed it fast. The only thing that bothered me was that it was maybe 1/4 inch shorter than the MD sill it crashed into. It takes some work to snap it into place. I assume this is intentional. Once it snaps into place, you don't have to worry about it falling…

Difficult to install.

This product is poorly made and difficult to assemble. The company does not provide installation instructions anywhere. The only way to get it together after about 45 minutes of trial and error was to turn it over and gradually pinch it along the back with pliers. I have no idea how you could add this to the set threshold. And our method chewed up the back. Of course it's hidden after installation, but still not ideal. Quality is a disappointment. Everything was fine after installation, but…

Great solution for a new storm door

I don't know what brand of sill I have but I took a chance and it fits great. I had to completely remove the storm door and frame to avoid cutting slots in the extension, but the clean install was worth it. I had concerns about gluing because there isn't much flat metal on the underside of the extension, but I glued it down with Gorilla Max Strength construction glue and weighted it down for 24 hours and it was rock hard. The edges still need caulking but I am very happy with the product and…

Pros
  • For 2" deep sills
Cons
  • Slightly dented

If I could wait two weeks I could buy the same one for half the price at Home Depot. It was fully protected with bubble wrap and cardboard but when I opened it it was badly worn and damaged. Installation was very difficult. When I attempted to latch it onto the existing sill, it would not latch. Basically I had to hit him to break him. When I tried to just twist it to lock it, it bent the existing sill. So after a few tries I finally got close to him and then just hit him a few times until I…
