My staircase is crooked and I wanted to install retro steps to restore it. Builders have been confused about how to keep track of step sizes (it's a little tricky). I asked her to use this product. That made the work a lot easier. This product saved the day!

Item worked fine for me. It's fast and fairly accurate, but it still leaves the corner areas unmarked and you have to "blur" that by guessing where the line should go. I used it to mark the wall board where it meets the curved tub molding and it worked, but in general I could do the same thing just by holding a regular pencil over a small block of wood. Knowing what I know now there are cheaper and better things out there considering how often you actually use that thing.

Perfect Butt Great idea, good tool, very well made. I've used it (so far) to attach shelves to a wall that must have been built by a crack handyman. The scribes were perfect and the shelves look great. The only thing I would change about this marker is to add smaller (much smaller) "wheels" for marking very close to the wall (for reasonably straight walls). The instructions say this can be done by reversing the scriber, but the bottom is quite a large diameter so I'm not sure if this can be…
