Works perfectly! Just be patient with the installation.

I used this to repair a broken M12-1.50 drain plug on a 1979 Honda CX500. good seal. Then pour in some oil to make sure the shavings don't get into the motor case. After that everything is ready. I still have no leaks after 24 hours. recommended!

Perfect solution! but 5?

Was a little suspicious of this item as a solution to my 1962 Honda CB77 Super Hawk stripped drain plug. I gave it a try and was very impressed! I attached an oversized bolt to the cleaned body with oil and turned carefully, often unscrewing and cleaning the metal shavings. It ended up fitting the puck perfectly and feels like new! Impressively! The only thing is there are 5 of them in the box so it's a bit pricey. As it turns out my Honda ATV I just bought is also disassembled so I'll be using

Saved my KLR650 best in gaskets

I have a 2009 Kawasaki KLR650, the oil plug burned out a few years ago but held some torque. Took it to a mechanic who overtightened the spark plug and didn't hold much torque after that. Everything was fine for several weeks, there were no drops when adding Permatex silicone. So I went on a trip and there was a pretty big leak in the middle of the Adirondacks. The bike rocked back as if it had run out of gas. Luckily I caught it quickly and had one in my pocket for emergencies. I installed a…

Well saved for seals

1998 Honda Fourtrax that I use primarily for snow removal. Old but good, never let me down. That's more valuable to me than the Blue Book value, if the threads on the drain plug are stripped I've had visions of spending big bucks to replace "my little mule". This oversized plug was just the ticket. I turned the threads 1/2 to 1 turn with lube, then unscrewed all the way, wiped clean, re-greased, then screwed in until there was resistance, then repeated. With every lubrication, chips came out of

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Sad gear

This larger plug has worked like a charm so far. On my bike, the oil has to be drained from the side stand. I did this on a jack in the middle to leave some oil for flushing.1. Apply grease to the threads of the bolts 2. Start the bolt and turn it one full turn3. 4. Wipe off old grease with metal shavings5. Apply fresh grease again6. Retighten the screw and tighten another full turn from where you stopped7. Repeat steps 3-6 until the screw is almost fully seated. Remember that you will need to…
