Install your RapidAir kit correctly

I bought this to install a 3/4 inch Rapid Air kit. Second use, I used it to straighten open PEX water lines in my shop. I am very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • I am writing back

Not worth the hassle or the money.

Pretty expensive for its capabilities. It requires three people to use: one standing on the block, one spinning the spool to pull it through the block, and one to aggressively pull it across the block as it is very difficult to pass. The trick is that you have to pull it hard enough to easily bend it straight. Your best bet is to save some money and set it up on a flat surface and then go through it and do the same thing right after.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • boring packaging

The price is high but worth it.

Arrived broken. You reach for the end that hasn't already broken in transit. I tried it and it still worked so I didn't send it back. It is very difficult to use alone. Definitely a job to get the pipe straight. The Maxlune comes in a tight spiral and you have to work really hard to straighten it out. While this tool doesn't help on its own, it does. It's overpriced for what it is, but there's nothing else that can do what it does.

Pros
  • Still satisfied
Cons
  • Some defects

Works, but be very careful.

With several hundred feet of Maxline tubing to install, this seemed like the perfect tool to turn it from a spool into long straight lengths. After installing this stuff, I'm not 100% sure if it was absolutely necessary. A word of extreme caution: if you try to use the slotted hole as a handle to pull it down the tube, be very careful! The roller covers the hole a bit and will cut your arm. My experience didn't require stitches, but it was enough to bleed enough for me to reach for duct tapeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • There are flaws

If you are installing a Maxline pipe you will need this product

I gave this 5 star tool a 4 star rating because the shipper is weak! They put this tool in a big box that will almost certainly damage the product! My tool had a bad dent in the aluminum base plate, I rounded the corners to remove the dent, luckily the plastic rollers were not damaged (other customers have had broken rollers according to reviews). I have this flat iron securely fastened in the vise of the welding table. I used a wooden 4X4 as a spool pin for the tube spool so I didn't need twoโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Rectifiers in name only

I purchased this product to help install a Maxline 3/4" air duct kit in my garage. According to the description I thought it would straighten the airline. The problem is that it doesn't really straighten pipes, especially long pieces. I've tried different ways, all with the same result. The tube was a little straighter than before, but now it looked more like an arc than a straight tube. To make the problem worse, it is quite difficult to pull/pull the tube through the device. I'm quite aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
