This drinks holder is made from fairly strong stainless steel and is large enough to hold water bottles and travel mugs. I didn't use the magnets that came with it, I just screwed the cup holder onto my Jeep's center console. The only downside is that the edges are pretty sharp; not enough to cut you, but enough to smash your favorite mug on the street. I've used Plastid on cup rings which protect the cup and reduce rattle.
