There is nothing wrong with the product. It was supposed to fit my 2002 325xi, but I actually have dual inlet and outlet for the exhaust system. Since this only has one input it didn't work so I'm very frustrated. But I got a refund with no problems. The welds looked great.

This muffler is great at eliminating high frequency noise but has that familiar 100Hz hum you can get with an aftermarket muffler. If possible, use a Hemholtz resonator or J-tube to fix the drone.

Installed this muffler on my BMW E39. Couldn't be happier with the way that sounds. Not loud at all, but enough to bring a smile while driving without annoying the neighbors. Slightly better performance even at higher revs if the ECU has had enough time to tune.

Installed on Subaru Legacy Wagon 5 speed 2003. I removed the stock muffler and installed this, a custom setup. The car also has a Borla manifold. The sound is excellent, but not much quieter than without the silencer, which surprised me. Very deep rumble and sounds good across the range. It dampens some of the harsher elements but doesn't calm the car down very much and brings some resonance to the cabin. I like the looks, the sound etc. but I wish the car was quieter.

I got this as a gift for my 2005 G35 sedan. I specifically requested this model of the Magnaflow universal exhaust because I've seen and heard it on other G35 sedans and I love the sound of the exhaust. If you buy it for 2003-2006 G35 sedan, be prepared to make some changes. I had to cut my old muffler at the shop and weld it to a custom made pipe bent to fit my car (they made the pipe at their shop). It's not a slip. I also had to cut about 1" from the muffler itself to fit my car perfectly…
