I have to turn it to the highest setting to get a reasonably close shave. I admit it might be because I haven't used a razor like this versus 5 blades. When I open the maximum setting, ooh, I get a lot of cuts. I will continue to try and practice different settings.

I usually put my razors in these cases when I travel. I like this brand because they are not heavy and sturdy but offer protection. For example, the long-handled black Gillette razor works well, as does the Weishi Nostalgic adjustable razor with a thicker handle. I keep a pair of each color for easy razor identification. Well made, magnetic head holds the blade securely and works great. Soap on your fingers makes it difficult to use the razor. The head is about the same size as the Qshave. The weight is a little more than I would like, but it gives a very good shave. Just avoid sticky fingers. PS After a few weeks of using this razor, it has become one of my favorites. The slippery grip is no longer a problem.

First of all I would like to point out that I have not used this razor with the blades that came with it. I believe that the quality of a razor blade is more important to your shave than the razor, unless the razor is truly terrible.
