Smart design is best in men

First of all I would like to point out that I have not used this razor with the blades that came with it. I believe that the quality of a razor blade is more important to your shave than the razor, unless the razor is truly terrible. So I tested this razor with a blade that I already knew would be pretty good. I love the thoughtful design of this razor. It's well thought out. The top held by magnets is simple and easy to use. It is mechanically simpler than adjustable butterfly door razors and easier to use than an adjustable razor where the top screws on with a knob at the base of the handle. The razor's head is unusually wide, with large curved areas behind the ends. razor blades. Honestly, it looks stupid. But it allows you to remove the magnetic nozzle with your fingers away from the edge of the blade, which is clearly a good thing. I've also had razor blades where the end of the blade far from the edge was miscut - too long, too sharp. Since most razors have the end of the blade sticking out the side of the razor head, he was able to nudge me here, which he did. With the extra wide head of this razor, that's no problem. It will cover the sharp corners of the blade, or if the blade is just too long it won't fit, which would be better than trying to use it. I agree with some reviewers that the grip is slippery. It's thinner in the middle than at the ends, meaning it won't be difficult to stay on. But in my opinion the handle would be better if it had circumferential grooves or was ribbed. Also, some razors that screw on actually bend the blade into a curve. This makes it easier to maintain the correct angle of about 30 degrees between the face and the blade without thinking about it. The magnetic head of this razor keeps the blade perfectly straight; It doesn't attach securely enough to the handle for designers to take a different approach. That's fine, but it's a matter of taste, if you prefer the pinched and curved blade base, you'll have to look elsewhere. The shaving base works well. I was afraid that drops of water and soapy water would collect in it, but the designers left a drainage hole at the bottom to prevent this. Good idea. All in all a smart and well thought-out design. One notable improvement they could make would be to add a more aggressive texture to the grip, but that's no big deal. Update: I still use this razor and still love it. I used the blades that came with it. . Everything is fine with them. The razor is adjustable so you can increase or decrease the gap the blade sits in to make it more aggressive - shaves closer or less aggressive - safer. I've found that, for me at least, switching the razor to a higher setting after a certain point doesn't produce a smoother shave. For me it's about a 4 or 5, maybe on the adjustment scale. So there is no reason for me to raise it above that level. Your mileage may vary.
