🔧 Optimized Hook and Loop Back-Up Pad for Makita 743052-5, 7-Inch Review

The velcro system came loose after 3 uses. And a 7 inch diameter is not a true 7 inch. It's 6 3/8. I expected something from Makita to be more durable than this one.

Ideal for 3m Abrasive Pads. I've sanded off 2 coats of paint, a 60 year old original and a nearly 40 year old repaint, no problems and it's still solid with no pad separation. Would buy this again. I drove 800-5500 rpm.

Try another brand. This compares poorly to the original on the Toolman polisher. The velcro fell off twice and I had to reattach it with super glue (ugh!). Previously I found it very difficult to remove used sanding sheets after use.

This mat worked great. I actually use it as a sanding pad instead of a polisher with my angle grinder. I have sticky ones Used circular sandpaper with no holes which you can buy at your local hardware store The pads adhere perfectly to it even at high speeds This is a great pad I highly recommend, very solid construction.
