not as durable as I thought.

This wire cup was used with an angle grinder on a project to remove rust from several metal objects. I'm not familiar with these types of wire brushes but figured they would last longer. It was used for maybe 3 or 4 hours total and lost all of its cords. Some of them had to be removed from my leg. Be confident and wear long pants.

Much more convenient than a regular wire brush

Great for working top down or inside when you can't get what you want with a drill on the side of a part. . Of course, there's always been smaller things for that (especially in tight spaces), but they're flimsy compared to this heavy-duty drill. It's also larger, so it's about 10x faster for general work where space isn't an issue.

Pros
  • Abrasive and finish
Cons
  • Doubtful

Wire flies everywhere

The first reviewer with wire in my leg made me think twice before buying this - but you never know how people will use this item. Well I bought it and used it for about 1 hour to remove the old pants from the cinder block - sparks fly everywhere. but when I was done only 75% of the bristles were left with the rest scattered everywhere. Thanks OP for telling me to wear long pants - you MUST WEAR HEAVY GLOVES, EYE PROTECTION, BOOTS and HAND AND FOOT COVERS - FACE PROTECTION WAS BETTER! Use with…
