Replaced a 20 year old Panasonic home theater receiver with this receiver and all I can say is WOW! Clarity is great! The app works great as a remote control that can be controlled from anywhere. Many different connection options. I love the 2 channel zone that includes our outdoor speakers and combines with other channels for entertainment. So happy with the quality and the sound. Dinner is an amazing recipient and I highly recommend this product!

Upgrade for 4k 120hz and 8k 60hz from SR5014. Surprised when I booted up my RTX 3080 and everything was a black screen. A quick web search reveals that there is a bad HDMI 2.1 bug. I ran through EArc, everything is fine. This is 100% false advertising by Marantz that it works in 4k 120hz. I have yet to test an Xbox Series X or Ps5 but I'm sure it won't work. There were problems with the setup. I can't get any sound from any speakers. I spoke to a Marantz representative and no solution was found. The representative proposed three (3) options.1. Go to SETTINGS and click RESET. This means the installation will restart.2. Send the device to an authorized Marantz dealer for inspection. The dealer was in Connecticut. It wasn't a viable option. This receiver sounds great; For movies, it's a definite improvement over the Onkyo 7.2 receiver it replaces. The sound is warmer than my old receiver; and via a wired network connection to my Mac, it plays my iTunes music collection without the harshness that comes with Apple streaming.
