Enhance Your Aquarium with Marineland Eclipse Compact Replacement Lamp Review

Living in the country it doesn't make sense for me to drive into town to buy a replacement aquarium light, that's where Revain comes in. Strong light, lasts about a year, whitish tint, not yellow like traditional incandescent bulbs. A good product.

If you have one of the Marineland aquariums that requires this lamp, you must purchase it. They don't last long and are very expensive in my opinion. There really isn't much choice but to buy one if you want to light up your tank, so a review would be redundant.

This replacement bulb has worked very well for a long time. Purchased in April of this year (2017); he died at the end of July. And we don't use our aquarium lighting excessively, especially in summer. This lamp had the shortest lifespan of any lamp we have purchased to date.

I bought two of these at my favorite local store. My daughter got 20 gallons new with her pocket money and wanted plants for her birthday. The local store only had one bulb in stock, so we scanned the barcode and Revain received a second bulb two days later. It works great for plants. They love the light and it easily fits in glow domes. This is an excellent solution for providing living plants with the necessary lighting.

Ordered this light for a Marineland 5 gallon corner aquarium. Pros: Nice colored light that brings out the colors of my fish and decorations. Disadvantages: Very short lifespan. I've had this light for five months and use it for a few hours about twice a week (my tank gets sunlight most of the day). It's already burned out. This bulb is not the one that came with the Aquarium Hex 5, an original bulb that gives off a softer light. I have two Hex 5 tanks, each with exactly the same settings, except one still has the original bulb. The aquarium I placed this replacement bulb in was suddenly overgrown with algae after the bulb was changed. I don't know if it's a coincidence or not but I had no problems with algae before I swapped out the bulb for this bright white one and my other tank is crystal clear as always. So…

This amazing lightbulb was emitting light. Not just any light, but a light that makes the aquarium look like it's being lit by a CFL. I suspect most of my freshwater fish were happy, although they have so far refused to comment officially. However, the green algae considered it "enough" compared to normal sunlight. It is better to look for these bulbs in a real store and not to buy them through the Internet. I bought two of these bulbs when a power surge knocked out two of my existing Eclipse System 12 bulbs. The price was right so I bought them. The delivery was fast but the quality was poor. The onions came in just an envelope with very little filling.
