11 year old boy loves it.

During the days I was trying to get my son to wear something other than basketball shorts and a t-shirt, I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly he took to this raincoat. Lightweight and definitely compact, the Marmot brand does not disappoint with this jacket. The seams are well welded and the zipper closes quickly and easily. We did some testing in the rain and the higher collar protected the neck well when the hood was down. With the hood on, he didn't complain at all about the jacket…

Pros
  • Made in a stylish dark green colour.
Cons
  • The jacket may not be suitable for formal occasions.

Waterproof, not just resistant

This is a cute jacket and not only is it waterproof, it's also waterproof. So suitable for heavier rain, not just splashes. Be careful when washing with normal detergent. For washing you need a special waterproof soap. Or you can just wash your hands in water if it's not particularly dirty. It was a little pricey, but we couldn't find a waterproof jacket (only waterproof) at Target or Walmart, so we're glad we have one. He has held up well so far and we hope to pass him on to our youngest son…

Pros
  • The X-Large size is perfect for older children.
Cons
  • The jacket may have a strong odor or chemical smell

Thin waterproof jacket is the best in my rating

The green waterproof rain jacket works great and has a nice finish. Everything fits perfectly (a bit roomy) on a medium sized boy. It doesn't give off heat, but it certainly repels water.

Pros
  • Reflective details provide extra visibility in low light conditions.
Cons
  • The jacket may not be versatile enough to match different styles or outfits.

Perfect for the active boy in the great outdoors.

I've been buying Marmot clothes for my son since he was a little boy. Now I buy Marmot clothes for my son, grandson, and the quality of Marmot products has not deteriorated over the years. The quality of Marmot products is always high and lasts almost forever. The improvement of the Marmot clothing line is in the design. The boys PreCip raincoat is just one example of the ever evolving design of a basic raincoat I bought my son years ago. Waterproof, taped seams, elasticated wrists are just…

Pros
  • This is a beautiful well designed raincoat. It is light and thin enough for use in the warmer seasons.
Cons
  • The jacket may not be breathable enough for physical activity.

Great raincoat for the rainy season

The rainy season is upon us, and if like me you're worried about how many umbrellas to buy from cheap big department stores for your kids to lose and forget about them at school during the season - well, don't worry. more. It's a great fitting jacket, the packs are very small and very compact and kids can carry it in their backpacks all the time when it's raining. The jacket looks great, it's very light and fits great, quality zippers that last and a great fit. After unfolding, just shake a few

Pros
  • Easy to clean and maintain
Cons
  • The jacket cannot withstand sudden changes in temperature.

Keeps our son warm and dry in wet conditions

Marmot is one of those brands that you just can't go wrong with. I have quite a few Marmot items including camping gear and a lot of adult clothing for me and my wife. This is our first Marmot gear geared towards kids and is just as impressive as the adult gear. The seams are double stitched. The quality of the material is excellent. Functionally, this jacket does not differ from the adult model, it is only smaller. Our eldest son wears it outside in "mixed" weather and keeps it warm enough on…

Pros
  • Great product for my son, used during our vacation in Alaska.
Cons
  • The jacket may not be strong enough to withstand the rigors of the outdoors.

Excellent all-weather children's jacket

This jacket has the same quality construction as the adult version. That's more than enough for any rainy, windy weather. It's light enough to wear on warm days and when your kid isn't into K2 mountaineering, it works well in snowy and cold conditions as an outer shell with layers underneath. The medium size is suitable for children from 7 to 10 years old. Attractive blue. No "kids" drawings and markings. Looks like the adult version. The material is durable and waterproof. Good quality…

Pros
  • Comes in a variety of colors to suit any character
Cons
  • The jacket may not be thick enough to keep cold air out.

Quality product, light weight but should last a while

Quality product from a quality brand. Large zip pocket. The zipper seems to be well made and should last a while. Pretty thin and light so it won't take up much room in your backpack if you need to take it off or carry it "just in case". The little things make it worth the money. It should last a while, the zippers are well made, there is a small flap so the zipper doesn't irritate the wearer's face and such. It's not cheap, but it's high quality and looks very durable while being lightweight.

Pros
  • Provides excellent protection from wind and rain
Cons
  • The jacket may not be suitable for certain outdoor activities such as hiking or camping.

The best in style and performance.

I chose this jacket for my seven year old granddaughter. It's designed for boys, but I don't see much of a difference between this and the same model for girls. Regardless of which gender you buy it for, it's the perfect waterproof jacket for all longer activities in the rain. It is waterproof and has the added feature of retaining enough warmth for the wearer. My granddaughter loves pockets and this jacket has plenty of them, both inside and out. Your child's body covered with this jacket will

Pros
  • Machine washable for easy cleaning
Cons
  • The jacket may not provide enough warmth if it gets wet.

Nice and big, water drips from it.

This is a really high quality outer layer/shell for kids who want to run in the rain. It's sized so an average sized person can wear a hooded sweatshirt or bulky sweater underneath and still fit snugly, which is good because this jacket has no warmth, just protection from rain and wind. I poured water on it (it hadn't rained yet!) to test the water resistance and the water immediately ran into beads. It's light but by no means flimsy. It's a little stiff and wrinkled, which reminds me of my…

Pros
  • Zippered pockets provide convenient storage for small items

Great bowl, suits me

Great rain cover. You can use it in winter if you wear fleece/softshell underneath. Keeps kids dry and is a good breathable cover.

Pros
  • Lightweight and comfortable to wear
Cons
  • The jacket may shrink or lose its shape after washing

good raincoat

My child needed a new rain jacket and she was very happy about it. When it arrived I immediately liked the color and style of this jacket. The hood is foldable, all seams are well reinforced. The jacket is very thin but perfect for keeping him dry. The product description states that water vapor can escape as your activity increases, very cool. Marmot continues to produce beautiful and effective products!

Pros
  • Mesh-lined interior improves the jacket's breathability.
Cons
  • The jacket may not have adequate ventilation or airflow

Worked great in the rain

I bought this coat for my son for a vacation in Alaska. It worked great. It worked great when it rained, but had to wear a sweater underneath when it was windy. Excellent purchase.

Pros
  • Easy to pack and carry in your backpack
Cons
  • The jacket may not be suitable for those with certain allergies or sensitivities.

Great fit and color

Great jacket! We love Marmot jackets and this one doesn't disappoint. At an average size, it is "short" for my 11.5 year old but fits my almost 9 year old perfectly. Blue is an unusual shade and very pleasant. compared to often darker or lighter shades. All in all it's nice to have this waterproof material later to add lighter jackets for spring and fall here at PNW.

Pros
  • Ideal for use in the fall and winter months
Cons
  • The jacket may not be available for international shipping

The best raincoat for kids

I bought the Marmot PreCip Women's Jacket for myself based on research and when my kids needed new jackets I was very happy to find a version in their size. You love these jackets. They breathe like you would expect from a raincoat, have some good pockets and the right hood size for my kids. The best part is that these backpacks are so light and small that you can easily put them in your backpack even if you are not sure if it will rain. It was a great purchase. Thanks marmot!

Pros
  • Elasticated cuffs and hem provide a snug, secure fit
Cons
  • The neck area of the jacket may be too tight for some customers.

Good, reliable simplicity.

You can rely on this rain cover to keep your children dry. It may be tempting to carry a cute and inexpensive raincoat with you wherever you go, but the marmot's difference in quality and functionality is so tangible that it's well worth the investment. At first glance this is a simple jacket with a simple design, but upon closer inspection it is clear that a great deal of attention has been paid to detail. The buttons and zips are of excellent quality, the zips are equipped with ribbons for an

Rainwear in perfection

There's a reason I see this brand recommended in outdoor mom groups all the time. Jacket of excellent quality, thought out to the smallest detail. From the seams at the wrists to the collar, this jacket is perfect for outdoor play in the rain. You get what you pay for, this jacket is expensive considering how fast kids grow up but even growing kids can be rough on their clothes. This jacket will hold up to multiple kids and help them spend a lot of time outdoors even in less than ideal…

Pros
  • Great lightweight jacket for my son. Perfect for a trip to Scotland. Ideal for rain or light wind.
Cons
  • Some customers may prefer a thicker jacket for colder weather.

Well done, my verdict

This Marmot rain jacket is well thought out and well made. This jacket is basically a rainproof jacket. It will give you no warmth. So if it's a cold or chilly day, you'll need to throw some clothes underneath. The hood can be rolled under the collar and fastened with Velcro when you don't need to use the hood. The inside of the collar is lined with soft fabric. So the collar doesn't irritate the skin. My son uses it as a raincoat. He belongs to a hiking club that tries to go hiking every…

Pros
  • Offers reliable performance in all weather conditions
Cons
  • The jacket must not have a hood for additional weather protection.

Nice jacket I think

That's a good jacket. The front pockets close with a zipper, but are not intended for the hands. The weight of the jacket is great. I like waterproof fabrics. It rains more than cold here so this is a well weighted jacket for our weather.

Pros
  • Waterproof to keep your child dry in rainy weather
Cons
  • In windy conditions, the jacket may not provide adequate insulation.

Will outlast many children

These clothes may seem expensive, but they are so durable that they will last for an unlimited number of children, taking turns wearing them when they fit. The color is suitable for any gender. The zipper is strong, with a longer tongue. On top of the zip there is a pocket with velcro closures that covers the zip. The hood is oversized with two elasticated sections to fit and keep out rain. The hood can be folded up and tucked in so you don't have to wear a collar. The body is ventilated so the

Pros
