I had a vitrectomy in February 2019. I returned the other devices face down after 7 days but I still had a blister in my eye and wanted to spend more time face down in bed. This pillow worked great. I used a thick book to support my forehead and an underbust pillow to support the underside of the face pillow. It worked great. It is very comfortable. Its design was better than the rental gear because it didn't put pressure on the eyes.

This pillow has replaced the original standard size pillow. It's twice as thick and closer to an O than a C, protecting my chin from the bar. This is a great little pillow that protects my face when I need to relax and not flinch. And despite the thickness, the old cover fits perfectly on it. So there is no need to switch the three cotton sleeves I have. I love this massage pillow.
