Didn't work for me. It had plenty of power but most of the water ended up running down the toilet or back into the little hole that drains back into the water tank holder. It seemed no different and therefore no better than a regular piston. I tried it many times because I wanted it to work.

This product may work with some toilets, but Kohler toilets with a square siphon outlet will not work. He splashed water (and more) from the bowl onto the floor. On our Kohlers, the old-fashioned round rubber plunger works a lot better for 1/4 the price.

Because the tip is hard plastic and not pliable rubber, it doesn't fit in the hole, allowing a lot of air to seep through the gap. As a result, you will not be able to pump out water at all. Very disappointing because the description sounds pretty general and flexible. I thought it was misleading. I want to go back but too much work so I gave up.

I bought it because it had many reviews (over 600) and an excellent average rating (4+ stars); I also liked that it came with a storage bucket. However, I had a reason to use it and it was a lot dirtier than my old plunger and it wasn't effective either. I don't know if there's a trick or if the quality of the product varies a lot, but I'll stick with what I bought at the target store.

I suggest another plunger that looks similar but has a neck/tip flange that fits most or all toilets and creates the seal needed for easy immersion and unclogging (The plunger that worked is called: JS Jackson Supplies Professional Bellows Accordion (Vantuz).

This piston is the best. I bought a regular plunger about 3 months ago and as I am having some issues installing it in my toilet I don't want to flush everything that needs flushing, I use a plunger. Needless to say, the three month old piston is no longer good. Since I've been using this I haven't had any more problems and have to use it less and less. I highly recommend it. I'm about to buy another one for the guest bathroom.

I really wanted this to work, but it didn't work. It looked sturdy in the photo and as described I really thought it would work. The instructions say to twist it a quarter turn, place it in the toilet, and then twist it again to close it for sucking. same as my husband but to no avail. There was no suction at all. Edited to add: I requested a refund and was fine with it until I got the joy of boxing a used toilet plunger to ship somewhere. They want it back, I think I'll just soak it in bleach,
