Grainy image, looks very bright

It looks like this pen won't last long. The handle bends when pulled. Image quality isn't as good as the $20 camera I installed near my license plate. My original tailgate handle started to crack (Tundra 2004) so I decided to give this one a try as it had the best camera angle for reversing in a trailer. Installation was easy, but since the wiring isn't laid out like my other camera, I had to run the new camera's video cable all the way to the front of the car and through the firewall. I point…

Car electronics handle broke twice

Although it looks like an OEM part the plastic is cheap and brittle. The OEM grip lasted 6 years and still works great. Two handles broke in two years. The company gave a guarantee the first time, but will not support it the second time, even if the error occurred in the same place. They implied that I had abused it. I'm an engineer and have designed and made similar castings for the automotive industry. I take care of my truck and its parts. Don't get involved like me. You get what you pay…

Excellent camera

Bought for my 2011 after buying the Tundra and realizing how long it has been. I'm from the Yukon and the tundra is at least 12 inches longer. I've always wondered where to stop and how far the bumper with mirrors and a rear window view. My son gets car nausea so I paint my cars sedan tint to keep the sun to a minimum and that helps a lot. However, this makes it difficult to see when backing up. This device was the perfect solution. Recommendations are a nice touch and the angle of the tailgate

Great price, looks great and works great

Just had a backup camera + tailgate handle installed this weekend. This is actually the second camera tailgate handle I've bought from Amazon. The predecessor was from a different manufacturer at the same price. When I got this, I was immediately skeptical about the quality. It was all plastic and didn't feel that strong. In fact, it broke when I tried to use it to open the back door while I was still completing the installation (the handle was installed and I was working on routing the…
