Shit!: Trailer accessories

Installed today and it took me a long time to troubleshoot, grounded everything properly and connected it, checked the current. All is well. However, my rear left taillight (working) is dimmer than the right one, and the small left taillight and license plate light don't work. I do not understand what is going on. Really got me. Here are the photos.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Damaged

The wiring supplied with the kit TURNS INTO POWDER

The wiring supplied with the kit is of poor quality, to say the least, after less than a year of operation it turned to powder and can be dismantled by hand. As an electrical engineer I have been working with wiring for over 15 years and have never seen anything like it. video attached. The headlights themselves still work fine, so there's something, and the light guides don't appear to be the same shoddy wiring.

Nice headlights but NOT ALL LED

Bought these lights for my flatbed trailer to replace the broken bulbs. When I received it, I tested it with the AC adapter and noticed that the red lights on the side disappear when the power is turned off (similar to a lightbulb). When I opened it up I found that everything is LED except for the red marker light. I'm pretty sure this light draws 5x more power than all the LEDs combined and it will burn out a lot quicker. I'll keep this set for myself but wish they hadn't skimped on it…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • unreliable

The wire turns into POWDER?!

This is a very cheap kit, as you can see from the price. I would only buy this if you need to plug something in to get rid of it quickly and then it's a matter of honesty. Bought this set a little over a year ago. Installed less than a year ago. Recently the white ground wire broke off with no pressure so I went to reattach it by stripping the wire so I could put the grommet on it. The wire inside literally turned to powder. yes powder! No matter how I tried to clean it, I could open the…

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about that, everything is fine

Absolute RUBBISH! on Lighting

Bought almost exactly a year ago. I found the light to be of good quality. A few weeks later problems with lights not working started. I checked all the wire connections, then the ground, then the car connector, then everything again. Finally deserves a rear light. The trailer sat there for several months. Next use NOTHING. Did the same troubleshooting. Replace plug. I removed the headlights and checked the internal connection. Finally noticed that the side marker lights work but are very dim…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Poor quality, best lighting

Bought to replace the bulbs on my new teardrop. Ripped out old wiring and fasteners, installed and routed new wiring and parking lights, passenger side taillights do not work but direction indicators work, driver's side tailgate, direction indicators and brakes work. So. First I check the area. The country around is good. There is continuity all around the perimeter and find. The taillights have ground continuity because (1) the driver's side is not fully LED. There's a lightbulb in there, so…

I do not recommend in lighting

This kit was only a year old and started blowing fuses in my new car. After an hour of troubleshooting, I found that the driver's side taillight had shorted out. Further troubleshooting revealed that the small light bulb on the side wiring had a short circuit. The wiring is glued to the LED board and cannot be fixed. The only option is to completely replace the lantern, sold in pairs, or remove the bulb. I decided to remove the bulb. My other complaint is that the side marker plastic is falling

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Quality

This kit has been improved, it differs from what others have written about

Based on the reviews I saw I was really hesitant to order this kit. One reviewer noted that they received a kit that included LED taillights and bulbs for the side markers. Other reviews stated that the devices aren't sealed, so they can't be submerged in water. Another review I saw said the wiring harness is made from fine junk wire that turns to powder after a short while. I can 100% guarantee these units are sealed, full LED and fitted with quality wiring that is not fragile and will stand…

  • . Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good

Decent LED trailer lights

Bought this kit to replace the original bulbs on my 1987 Tomco boat trailer. The previous owner did a hack job on the wiring harness so he wanted to replace it and figured I could use the LED lights at the same time. Upon opening the box, the taillights and side markers look pretty good, but the wiring harness is very light for my liking due to the use of very thin strands of wire. I also found that the flat 4 pin connector on the trailer side is quite cheaply made and doesn't fit the flat 4…
