Do not buy! at Terrarium Heat Lamps & Mats

I bought this set to use my bearded dragon at night. And both burned out within 24 hours! Full and udder Bull**it. So I'm worried about my bearded dragon at 2am and thankful I woke up in the middle of the night to check on him! I will never buy this company again! I mean I found out that 1 burns out ok. There are bad bulbs in every batch. But both?!? And one of them in just a few hours. like no joke. After 2 hours it just stopped working. Do not ever do that again.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

Decided to return them.

Both lamps ordered arrived with small cracks. I don't know if cracks will affect the work, but I've chosen not to use them. I bought another large ceramic lamp elsewhere and to date it has not cracked. Netizens seemed to suggest not using broken lightbulbs. I decided to return the money as both bulbs were cracked I figured there was little chance of getting an uncracked replacement. We apologize if such cracking is normal with new lamps.

The price is definitely a bargain if you are willing to wait a bit to receive the item as it is shipped from China. Delivery took almost a month from the order date. I agreed. The only negative I have to share is that this is NOT a 50w bulb. I hooked up a lamp to my Kill-o-Wattmeter and was surprised it read 86 watts (and 0.7 amps) so I checked a…

The only reptiles in my house are in the freezer!

I was looking for a replacement for the low wattage bulbs I use in my meat dryers. I make beef jerky and South African style beef jerky (Biltong and Droewors) and the ideal temperature is around 90F. Dryers have an exhaust fan and holes around the base to alter airflow and temperature. The problem with incandescent bulbs is that they eventually don't generate heat as efficiently, which is why they are called "incandescent bulbs" and will soon be banned in favor of LEDs and some CFCs. And they…
