After doing a little research I found that Mean Well makes some pretty good power supplies so I decided to give it a try. I have bought several power supplies for LED lighting and this is the heaviest and best I have ever seen. The only complaint I can have is that the tension adjustment tab could be better secured and more durable. If you try to change the voltage, the contacts bend easily, and I think that over time they can fail. This is a really odd decision as the cheaper Chinese models on eBay have better knobs at half the price. Overall, I'll probably buy this again after comparing durability over time.

THIS is a powerful power supply! I bought another brand and used it to power a small DC motor. Even though the motor's full-load boost was less than 65% of the power supply's rating, this did not happen. However, this one is rude. The engine came alive even at full load. Works great. Well built aluminum case, temperature controlled fan, terminal block cover. I picked it up last week to replace what seemed like a bad cheap Chinese 120w PSU in my Prusa i3 kit which turned out to be fine. I was going to replace it at some point anyway to make room for another extruder, so I just use a cheap stock of my filament extruder and leave it in place. WOW SO VERY glad I paid the extra 25% or so and bought this model over one of the really cheap ones. This is a really high quality well made block that doesn't cut corners. The chassis is all aluminum and everything is solidly built. The terminal blocks are easy to use and have the right dimensions.
