Description of Mediabridge Ultra RCA Y Adapter Feet

Ideal for connecting a TV, CD player, DVD player or other RCA-enabled device to the left and right audio ports of a subwoofer or amplifier, while offering excellent bass response and flexibility. A simple Y-Adapter can open up a whole new world of possibilities for your audio components. This adapter splits your audio components for a genuine surround sound experience (no extra cables necessary). Low-loss, wide spectrum coaxial cable great for the low-frequency signals produced by subwoofers, allowing for deep and precise audio quality. Split-tip center pins ensure high contact pressure and signal strength, while unique gripped molding and corrosion-resistant gold-plated RCA connectors provide a consistently tighter fit than commonly rolled cables with wider tolerances. Built with braided copper shielding, aluminum Mylar shielding and gas injected foam dielectric, for protection against the hum/static encountered when multiple devices are in close proximity of each other. Finished in a heavy-duty, yet flexible PVC jacket with color coding, for easy routing, quick installs and maximum signal transfer, so your audio components deliver all the performance you expect. Includes adjustable & reusable Velcro cable strap for easy organization & storage.

Efficient signal transmission results in fantastic bass

The processing of this cable is outstanding. The plug is snug, but not so tight that it's difficult to install properly. The outer material is very supple and also soft enough not to scratch the eggshell paint on the wall behind the TV cabinet. However, these features are mostly about the true value this cable can bring to your home theater system. The signal sent out from the subwoofer terminals on my Sony STR-DN1080 is NOT degraded AT ALL over the 8ft of this cable to my Sony SACS9. This…

You don't need anything better.

I work a lot with test equipment and can judge the quality relatively quickly. That's a good cable. The cable material and connectors are above average and the price is surprisingly low. Double shielded, low loss dielectric, gold plated contacts, machined (not stamped) metal parts. The connectors are very tight and secure, which requires a little more force, but is a lot better than coming loose. My only concern is what happens if the cable is accidentally pushed or pulled to the side. If…

Great solution to subwoofer wiring problems!

First, the 15 foot cable cost $1 more than the 10 foot version. Do the math. Second, a TON of good reviews from previous buyers. On receipt I was impressed not only with the quality of the cable but also with the fact that it comes with Velcro so you don't have the cable lying around if it's a little longer than necessary. After installation, the sound of my subwoofer increased by almost 50% thanks to the makeshift cable I used, as my previous cable recently failed (another manufacturer had a…

Fiction! - AV Accessories

2018 has been a year of innovation for me - my first new home, my first dual subwoofer setup and my first use of a Mediabridge product! Based on the reviews, I've decided to invest in a mediabridge for most of my cabling needs in my media center room. These cables connect a Sony AV theater receiver to my two PSW10 subwoofers and it seems like a perfect combination made in heaven. The cables are tight but nothing to worry about and I don't have any hiss, crackle or buzz on the lines. The…

I greatly improved my subwoofer

I'm not an electronic engineer. Really no experience with audio engineering. So I can't understand why this adapter had such a big impact on the sound quality and volume of my subwoofer. I don't have my own receiver. My TV connects to the soundbar using a Toslink digital optical cable. My soundbar has an RCA connector for connecting a subwoofer. However, the subwoofer has two cinch inputs. For many years I have used a cable with a connector at each end. I was very happy with the results. On a…

best cable bang for your buck

After reading all the reviews there are 2 types of people, those who have no idea what this cable is for and those who know and appreciate the quality of these cables. and use as intended. I've been building HT since the mid 90's and honestly this is one of the nicest subwoofer cables I've ever bought. They are very well made, high quality components, fit well and snugly, not too tight and not loose in any way, they have very good grips so you never have to worry about signal loss, the AY cable
