This company threatened a reviewer with a negative review!

So I bought this router after seeing that it was the most popular. I originally had a Linksys and wanted to upgrade it. After purchasing this product, I noticed that my wireless network speed dropped significantly. I blamed it on my ISP and changed my modem several times. It turns out that this router is just a shell of another cheaper router. To say it annoys me is an understatement. I will contact the company and Revain for a refund!

Constant connection problems, UPnP barely works, died in record time!

Bought in late December based on what I can only imagine now were fake planted reviews. Constantly had to reset 4 times a day, lost connection every time you tried to download something on more than one machine at a time. He also had trouble transmitting to the two-bedroom apartment, picking up a very weak signal less than twenty feet away, but only intermittently. The entire system lost signal strength for ten minutes and then returned to normal as if nothing had happened with no change in…

Pros
  • Great range
Cons
  • Upgradable

I bought this to replace a Netgear router I bought from Radio Shack seven years ago - the router needed constant resets so I figured it was time to replace it to bury and buy a new one. I bought it based on the positive to negative reviews. Setup was easy. All my devices connected with no problems. However, once I started using it, I noticed a lag when watching movies on iPad. My son and I play a lot of online games and we broke up every five minutes - it was TERRIBLE (no router reset, just…

Disappointed and dismayed!

Unfortunately purchasing this product hoping for an improvement in connectivity, quality and speed was a very bad decision. I've had nothing but connectivity issues with my TV, wireless printer, other wireless devices, etc. My IP phone connection is worse than ever, calls are dropping, connection is messy with voice static and distorted. I have not found any consistency or stability with this new router since replacing my 3 year old NetGear wireless router. It looks like I'll have to reinstall…

Dissatisfied customer

I bought this router and I was not satisfied with its performance. The reviews were amazing but the product didn't live up to them. Returned the item and went to Linksys and have never looked back. Now I get MUCH better range and speed.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • A few small things

I would return it if I could, terrible download speed.

First, I feel generous in giving it two stars, but I don't feel I can give it less because it does everything a router should. Most of my problem is that the description claims 300Mbps. I have service for 15 down and 1 up (I'd like more but it's expensive here) and that should be enough for my use. I only get 1 to 8 off this thing. 1-3 wireless and 2-8 wired. it's terrible. Sometimes the speed hits 8-10 Mbps or so, but usually it happens when I don't need it. For those who think it might be a…
