This magic set could be the best! Unfortunately very poorly built. All measurements fail. For example, as you can see in the picture, this inner block should fill out the outer one, but it doesn't even come close. Unfortunately, all effects are like that! This makes many tricks useless. The illustrations in the instructions correctly show what the props should be. But that's not the case. Yes, this is a children's magic set, but for me it just makes me want better quality. And so should you.

I absolutely LOVE this set. We gave this to our 10 year old for Christmas and he is obsessed with it. The props are made of wood, so they are durable and the tricks are really cool. He's done three "shows" for family and friends so far, and everyone has been visibly impressed. I have purchased several other magic sets in the past and none of them match the quality of detail and tricks of this one. Highly recommended! I did not receive all replacement parts for this item. I received two black cards for Magic Number Prediction, but another card is missing. I have a red card, the one with number 2 begins, a black card beginning with number 16, a pink card beginning with number 4, a blue card beginning with number 32, and a green card beginning with number 8. Considering the price of this set I was impressed with the quality of the props and how quickly our 8 year old grandson (and his 6 year old brother) took up tricks. Here Grandpa helped Patrick learn this trick and then worked on his presentation. The guy is a showman by nature and he enjoyed entertaining us. The silks hidden in the purse were a huge hit. An excellent set. Probably better for a 6 year old. A bit younger and can be too difficult to understand - documentation is not as vivid and descriptive as say a Lego set. Also, performing some tricks requires a lot of manual dexterity practice, which can be intimidating for youngsters. The age of 6-8 years, depending on maturity and mobility, is probably the best.
