Melissa & Doug Seaside Sidekicks Baking Kit Review

This is a good set but I returned it because I found a much cheaper version that included even more toys (like a small watering can, a plastic fish and a landing net). The turtle above also looks weird and my daughter has never played with it. So he would always end up in a corner on his back, stomach under the hot sun, while my little princess splashed in her cool, shallow pool. I felt sorry for the little guy (and wanted my money back) so I returned it.

We love this product as we love most things from this brand! :) My daughter loved the baking scenarios that she could play on the beach. The only thing this item needs is some kind of handle or latch to hold the lid in place and prevent other indoor toys from falling out during transport. I deducted a star because my little one couldn't carry it safely alone (lid kept falling off, toys fell out) and it takes up too much space in a beach bag to carry it like that.

Great beach toy set for kids. Very durable and well made. The funny thing is that my sister-in-law thought my granddaughter should bake cookies with her. This is actually a great product to use for this, then baking on the beach is fun pretending to bake and then my granddaughter wanted to take her to the bathroom. This product has many different uses. We will be getting another set to keep with Mom's cookie baking supplies. I just love it. It's amazing too. You can't lose with this product

My 3.5 year old daughter loves this set! She pretends to cook all kinds of pastries (mostly cakes) on the beach. That's great! Even their older cousins/friends play with it. Shovels, a whisk, and a spoon are perfect for pretending to measure and mix. And the "bowl" is also an additional bucket. Love it! I accidentally bought two of these and my 11 year old niece and 7 year old nephew play with my daughter's set so much that I'm just giving them another set as a gift. :-)

Great sandset! Our 2 year old grandson loves it! I first ordered a basic off brand sand toy set from Revain and was very disappointed with the flimsy plastic bucket and spatulas. With this set, on the other hand, everything is very thick and of high quality. It is interesting and fun to play with toys. We have been buying M&D toys for many years. We are never disappointed. Whenever we have had a problem with something they replace it or give us our money back. We even got a call from a company minutes after we left a review or comment. They take their products seriously and we LOVE them for it! This is a really cute set for outdoor and beach play. Even the sand filter lid and whisk are strong enough to withstand tough child play. I expect this to last a very long time. The handles are thick and may be more difficult for small hands to grip or get leverage for digging. The whisk is not round like a kitchen whisk. Everything fits in one storage container. Just received today and my girls immediately played with it in the bath as we won't be at the beach until next week. A very cute set. Thick durable plastic in a beautiful color. I really like that everything fits nicely in the bucket and there's room to add a few extra things. The little turtle lid is a sieve.
