Food grade bucket lid that’s FDA compliant for direct food contact, made with HDPE (high density polyethylene) construction. Recommended to clean before first use. Compatible with Home Depot 5 gallon bucket and Lowe’s 5 gallon bucket, as well as almost all manufacturer buckets from 3.5 to 7 gallons. 70 mil thickness, with just the right flexibility for perfect pliability when removing from buckets. Easy open and easy seal. No special tool required to remove lid. Tight fit! On first use, the lid will require extra maneuvering and extra pressure to apply. This will ensure a snug fit. Installation tip: when the lid is placed over the bucket, start with downward pressure on only one section of the lid. Once a small part of the lid is in place, work your way around the lid to complete the seal.

Description Misleading

The description says SET. If you click on the image it will show a STACK OF THREE CAPS. The price is for 1 lid. Not worth the price.

Pressure Seal in Drum and Pail Handling Equipment

This lid fits snugly over a standard 5 gallon pail. The material that this lid is made of is more malleable than the plastic that the bucket is made of. This lid has no inner seal, but is not required for sealing.

  • Installation Tip: If the lid is on the pail, only press on one section of the lid at first. Once a small portion of the lid is in place, go over the lid to complete the seal.

Easy On, Easy Off and Waterproof

We use buckets to store water from the mains to water our garden. We needed an easy on and off feature as traditional bucket lids are too bulky to remove frequently and are too heavy for hands. We also needed waterproof covers that would withstand the water entering our vehicle during transit. good price too.
