Stay away from my pros and cons

Nothing about these shoes makes sense. The toe shape is arched inward, the midsole is too narrow, and the arch support resembles a billiard ball. This is probably the most uncomfortable shoe I have ever worn in my life... I am shocked these are Merrell products. Garbage. Don't buy this.

Pros
  • Minimalist design helps improve balance and coordination
Cons
  • Might be too minimalistic for some people's needs

Great sneakers

Don't use them for street running and they will be perfect. I mean I would make 5k but no more. I walk barefoot and that's why I love my glove 4.

Pros
  • Durable outsole
Cons
  • It takes time to crack

Another good model of trail gloves, but with disadvantages.

I have worn/owned 4 and 5 trail gloves for several years. 6, although good shoes, but a step backwards. The fit is tighter than previous generations in terms of tightness around the foot. It's not uncomfortable when the shoes are on, but it makes them difficult to put on and take off. By far the biggest downside to this shoe is the change in lace material. They went from a thinner, flat tip that never came loose to a thicker, rounded tip, and the shoes refuse to stay in a simple knot. I would…

Pros
  • Easy to customize to individual needs
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with weak ankles

They don't make them like they used to.

replaces an old pair of trail gloves 1. This is a heavier shoe all round; thicker shower and top. still comfortable but not a thin sock like the feeling of 1s

Pros
  • Breathable construction
Cons
  • May not fit wide feet

Beautiful view. Too narrow

These are beautiful and seemingly well made shoes. It was so tight I couldn't get my toes through. I wear a 10/medium width. Here's what I bought. I doubt the score would help. I needed a wide one that Merrell doesn't sell in that style.

Pros
  • Ideal for long-distance runs
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with high arches.

Exactly what he wanted

My husband likes them so much I ordered them for women. He loves the arch support and grippy Vibrum outsole. They fit like a glove but don't pinch his toes, which he has a lot of trouble with. He also has steam gloves. This shoe had a narrower toe and slightly less ground feel.

Pros
  • Gives the foot a natural feel
Cons
  • No removable insole for individual adjustment

Probably the best shoes I've ever worn.

This is probably the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I wear them everyday and they also serve as a particularly comfortable shoe for hiking/cross-country skiing. I've been wearing them every day for over a year now and finally the inside of the sole on the sock (which is sewn in) is starting to wear out. I just resoled them because the tread is still good and they haven't worn much in other places. I will most likely buy another pair. Also, my heels stick out quite a bit and I usually…

Pros
  • Ideal for trail running
Cons
  • Cannot provide necessary support to lift weights

Comfortable. Was a big fan of the 1st gen.

Finally the 1st generation ended. The last pair is worn out. Yes. I find a pair of shoes I like and buy 6 pairs. That's good. Not at all, but I like her. Harder to put on. The lace closures make them difficult to put on and I always need a shoehorn.

Pros
  • The size is ok. But a bit narrow for people with high arches. When it comes to the laces, you have to make a lot of adjustments. A lightweight. Flexible.
Cons
  • If it were wider I would have liked this boot.

Comfortable but falls apart after 1 week

I like them for their very high quality and the way they got me going. It took some time to get used to them, but I got used to them quickly. Unfortunately the rubber that wraps around the toe of the shoe has come off after less than a week of wear, never kicked or slipped, just ripped :/ other than that it's a pretty great shoe :)

Pros
  • Good! Exactly what I expected. Easy and comfortable to walk:
Cons
  • Available in men's sizes only

Significantly narrower than the Trail Glove 5

I'm a heavy user of the Merrell Trail Glove 4 and 5. I've worn many pairs. But this six is much, much narrower - not only in the toe area, but also in the middle. Extremely uncomfortable not to wear. Merrell, why ruin a good thing?

Pros
  • Easy to put on
Cons
  • No extra pads or inserts included

absolutely love her!

I have to say that this is my first minimalist/barefoot shoe and I have no history to draw any conclusions from. I've read a lot of critical arch reviews - maybe I have high arches? maybe I don't know better?. but it has to be the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn. The fit was great from the start and gets better with every step. The original plans called for them to be used as a strength training and walking device, particularly on the street. They quickly became my daily life…

Pros
  • Ideal for running
Cons
  • May not be durable enough for long-term use

They sent me used shoes. BEWARE!

Shane, MERELL. I already have a pair of these shoes and I really like them. I have ordered a new pair in a different color. There was no padding on the inside of the shoes like a new pair so I turned them over and saw dirt and grime on the sole. SOMEONE, SOMEONE WEAR THIS OUTSIDE. Merrell needs to improve quality control or at least inform the customer about the condition of the purchased product. It's a shame to spend so much on shoes and get reimbursed by someone.

Pros
  • Provides good ventilation
Cons
  • Provides only medium or low arch support

Narrow down my pros and cons

I like the way the shoes look and feel but they are too narrow for my feet. This wouldn't be a problem if they made it wide, but they don't.

Pros
  • See above.
Cons
  • As many have complained, the sock is too tight. Previous versions 2/3 must be reintroduced.

Perfect for me - my new review

I've transitioned from regular shoes to minimalist barefoot shoes. They look and feel great. They really make you feel the area.

Pros
  • Fall from heel to toe
Cons
  • Minimal ankle support.

Revainrating 2 out of 5

No more barefoot

Based on 4, this is a completely different shoe. The toe box is much smaller and the midfoot is very narrow. Barefoot shoes are no longer needed. The built-in arch support is so stiff it feels like I'm walking on a small boulder.

Pros
  • Ideal for cross training
Cons
  • No antimicrobial properties for odor control

Better than 5 - my new rating

I've been wearing the venerable TG 4 on a daily basis for a number of years. I was one of the people who got hurt (that's how it feels) when the TG 5 pissed on our favorite shoes. I bought this TG 6 when the knitted 4 ran out. I was skeptical that they would continue with the remodeled Hate Fives structure but was glad they reverted to a smaller structure. Now the design resembles a 'shoe' rather than a 'leg burrito', but it's much smaller than the previous generation. To be honest, this is one

Pros
  • Provides good grip on slippery surfaces
Cons
  • Might not fit

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent shoes in my review

These are really great shoes for running or hiking. I can wear them all day and my feet are comfortable and the arch keeps them from getting tired.

Pros
  • buy you
Cons
  • Bad selection. Nothing like 4. I had to try it because I needed a new pair of something. Too narrow, poor stability and hard.

Really Merrell? for shoes

I've worn the same size trail gloves and vapor gloves since model 2 and most of them have been fantastic; usually lasts about 2 years a pair. It was almost comical trying to wear one of those sixes. These are too narrow. I couldn't even hit her with my foot.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Toe box too tight compared to Trail Glove 4

Image left to right: Trail Glove 4, Trail Glove 5, Trail Glove 6.TLDR: Trail Glove 6's toe box is much tighter than Trail Glove 4 and slightly narrower than the Trail Glove 5. It's quite disappointing, the Trail Glove 4 is essentially the perfect big toe boxing shoe. I felt the Trail Glove 5 (I hardly wore it) was a step behind as I felt stiffer in the arch and structure as a whole. Now when I try the Trail Glove 6 the toe box is quite tight and I want to try another shoe brand, it's definitely

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Short lived good for Athletic

Three months of use - twice a week for aerobics and the protector is already peeling off. You have to deduct 1 star from them. ---- They have arch support but they don't raise my heel. At first they were a bit tight and digging into my leg near the pinky toe, but they loosened up. high. They're pretty tight around the ankle (to keep rocks out I guess) so just be aware that you have to unlace them a lot more than regular sneakers to put them on.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
