50/50 so far on relay

I've bought several of these and the first one I used lasted about 24 hours. Replaced by #2, so far so good. The time will show. Personally I will buy locally again as it's easier to replace faulty gear.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Something else

Great suggestion for these relays

used this on my 2013 Subaru STI with the Hella Tone Horn Subi Mods Wiring Harness. The old 4 pin relay was causing the battery to drain so I used that to fix this problem. Now my car is not dead! great stuff for these relays.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish

Used for fog lights on a 1997 Honda Accord SE sedan

This relay was used after the cheaper one blew. It has always held up and worked so far. The latter occasionally "stuck" so my fog lights wouldn't come on when the high beams were on, but this one clicks every time and still hasn't missed! Would I recommend and buy again (although I don't think I need to!)

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • The list will go on.

There is a difference between brands of "Bosch Type " relay

Tyco is heavier than many $2.99 competitors. I've had too many easy relays to believe it's just luck. I've also used Hella, Relays and haven't had any problems with them either. The only ones that get me are the unmarked cheap ones, which drop out after a few months without warning.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Repair

Used this to power the switch that turns on the extra lights on my ExMark lawnmower. The hole in the mounting tab allowed me to easily mount the relay in a spot under the mower seat that isn't visible but is still accessible in case of trouble. I connected this to a Parts Express 5 pin 12vdc relay socket so some wires come from the relay which makes wiring easier.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • Almost ok

Just your simple Bosch style relay

Not much to say about that. If you know what it is, you must know how to use it. I have a few on hand, I always seem to add headlights to my cars. Buy a plug for it instead of using separate connectors for a cleaner install and no hassle of reconnecting if you need to replace one. Instead of connecting it as shown in the diagram, you should connect the switch wire to 12+ and turn on the switch. ground connection. So you only have one wire going to the dash, and that's ground, not hot. Connect…
