Silver Metro Vacuum VM6SB500 – Professional Hand Vacuum with High Performance, 120V, 500-Watt Power Review

About a year after buying this vacuum cleaner it caught fire while cleaning the litter box. I want all potential buyers to know that this FLAMMABLE vacuum cleaner was also rarely used! Luckily I handled the situation calmly, but at the time it was shocking and frustrating.

On first use, for about 20 minutes, I noticed smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe and I think I even put it down before I was done for fear it would break. The second time I used it I thought if it broke, it broke and that's exactly what happened. It worked fine for a few minutes, smoked for a few minutes, and then the function dropped sharply and heavy smoke appeared.

I need to clean the cloth and blades on two fans in our house. I wish I had bought it sooner because it does a great job. It is easy to carry up stairs and is as powerful as a normal vacuum cleaner. Often used, other family members take care of cars for quick cleaning. It is made in America and very well made. I like vacuum cleaners with disposable bags. That's great! Be sure and order extra bags.

I was disappointed with the suction power. I was expecting more power to suck up dog hair from my car seats. I watched a YouTube video of a car service and "Pet Stone" turned out to be the best product. It is similar to pumice stone but less porous. This is a small "portable" handheld vacuum with good suction and small disposable filter bags. The hose is short, but you can buy a longer hose. This is a REALLY powerful little vacuum cleaner. That's great. I've owned several over the years. However, there is a significant design flaw that makes it inconvenient to use. The upper part is separated from the body, so you can switch pockets. And the top is held by two latches that are constantly unhooked and the top falls off and all things in the bag fall out.
