MUCH better value than Somniflex

A 2 inch strip is all you need and $2.50 per roll which is about 5 cents per application compared to pre-packaged Somniflex which is $1 per application costs. My dentist showed me how to fold the tongue down about 1/8 inch when applying from the bottom up to make a tongue that can be easily pulled out the next morning. It helps keep my mouth closed with my dentures at night and prevents my mouth from drying out which leads to cavities etc. Great product!

WORK ALL NIGHT.

I have sleep apnea and sleep with a CPAP machine and I had a problem opening my mouth and the machine was not working. I tried straps and they slipped out at night. Someone suggested I try this on my lips at night and it actually worked. I'm happy to report that the nightly lip sealant gives me a deeper sleep and I sleep about an hour and a half longer each night. My doctor says this extra sleep is just what I need. I wake up more refreshed than I have in decades. Removing the tape the next…

Glue residue isn't funny - maybe solved?

Many CPAP users use and love this tape but I found it too tacky as it leaves a residue that is difficult to remove after removal. Many refuse. However, I've read some helpful reviews that suggest gluing to a fabric first to reduce stickiness and possibly make it better. I intend to try this. The Somnifix strips work well, but unwrapping them every night is quite tiring and I have to tape the CPAP vent to keep air from escaping my mouth. I will try again! The dispenser roll is good but the cheap

  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Bought to protect a heart rate monitor. Many of us who use Garmin/Polar watches with GPS and HRM have issues with strap chafing. I read (I think) about microporous tape on the Garmin forums. Found here. PERFECT! it is easy to put on, easy to take off. The most important. He stays alone despite the rain, sweat, whatever. And GONE GONE GONE are the hotspots where the HRM keychain has been rubbing at the center of my chest. I mainly use the tape as an anti-chafing/anti-chafing tape. Benefits:…

Classified as a face patch

Mycopore did not stick to skin on first application. It was rigid, did not move with the skin, and the edges were raised. As a face tape (because the reviewers recommended its use I decided to give it a try), it was worn at night and was too sticky to the skin, causing the skin to stretch significantly. when removing the tape. Ouch. Compared to more expensive face tapes like Furlesse, it's no comparison. The mic didn't perform half as well as the Furlesse, despite previous reports in favor of…

This tape is great as a sleep aid when used as a "mouth tape ".

I use this as a "mouth band" to keep my mouth shut at night; it reduces my snoring and also prevents dry mouth while sleeping. Simply tear off a strip about 2 inches longer than the width of your closed lips and apply before bed. When you wake up, make sure to slowly remove the tape. But for my purposes it works great. I've tried a bulky sleep aid before. Device with bulky and uncomfortable straps. Then I read an article about "mouth band" that recommended this brand. My only regret is that I…

Yes, these are things.

I have bought this 4 times since December 2018 (now October 2019). I'm guessing all of these orders cost me about $16 (the price has come down lately). I probably could have been a bit more conservative with the amount of tape I used so other people could have it last longer. Every morning I woke up with a parched mouth like in the desert. A quick google told me I had to tape my mouth. It's not the worst that could be. It just becomes routine. You can breathe, it hurts a little for teens (it's…

Great for mouth sticking

I bought this for mouth sticking; yes it is a thing. I have to remember to glue it to some fabric first before putting it in my mouth or there will be too much glue. I use a CPAP machine with a nasal mask (not mouth and nose). I often sleep with my mouth open and have used a chin strap to keep it closed. It was uncomfortable and after a few months it didn't hold up anymore. I find sticking it on the mouth much easier and more comfortable. I don't type horizontally, I make a short vertical cut…
