also ideal for working from home

I got this for work from home to have a plug and play solution. I was surprised at how small it is and the last photo shows how the USB-C connector tucks into the cable storage hole when not in use, which is great for portability. There are a few caveats in the quick start guide: 1) only one video port (HDMI or VGA) can be used at a time 2) USB-C does not support display output 3) the hub does not support laptop charging 4) the maximum speed for each USB port is limited to USB 2.0. MISSING DEVICE PERFORMANCE

GOOD LUCK. I used this to connect external mouse and keyboard to Surface Pro X. Sometimes it works right away when I turn on the computer and plug in the hub, but after my work the keyboard and mouse just don't work anymore, then I have to switch to the usual smaller keyboard, and then just try another one. I TESTED THE MOUSE AND KEYBOARD ON ANOTHER COMPUTER AND THEY WORK PERFECTLY. I ALSO TESTED MY USB-C PORT ON THE SURFACE PRO X AND IT'S OK TOO, SO THIS IS DEFINITELY A HUB. VERYโ€ฆ

Microsoft USB-C Travel Hub Adapter - High frequency sound - Very annoying and hard to hear

Microsoft USB-C Travel Adapter Hub - Produces a high-pitched tone when connected. Sounds like tinnitus. If you connect other devices to it, the volume of high-frequency noise increases. It's really annoying, and to use the Travel Knot I have to put it in a little foam box to muffle the noise. I thought it was buggy but apparently this problem exists on other internet forums. I also noticed that the 127W Power Brick that came with my Surface Book 3 also makes high-frequency noise when the laptop
