They can store food and the vents work. The ties become overdone to the point where they worsen. You really have to tighten those suction cups to attach and detach the lid of the container. This often results in the fasteners coming loose from the lids.

I love the design of this set. I just wish there were a few plus sizes. They work great in the microwave and are easy to clean. Can't comment on durability as I've had it not long ago and still haven't used it much. But it looks like they're holding up well. I recommend this set for microwave users.

I like that they nest inside each other. As other reviewers have pointed out, the "latches" are difficult to open once you've closed them. In fact, one of the latches came loose when I tried to open it. Not sure how long the containers will last as they are made out of very hard plastic. Although I won't be buying another set, they arrived quickly and well packaged.

I have very mixed feelings about this product as it borders on the good. But the lid's latches/snaps are secure when the product is at room temperature, but I think two different types of plastic will cause the latches to loosen over heat or heat. I think the eyes they are put in expand differently than the clamps. So they come off too easily and it can be a bit of a hassle to put them back on.

I have purchased and used a number of Sistema products and I microwave at least once a day. Firstly, there are absolutely no markings on these containers, which is very suspicious. I used the large one to make the finished jimbal which I have made several times. The surface of the container was deformed and discolored. I recommend looking for alternative products. You only get what you pay for. Unfortunately this is outside the return period for me.

Pros: 1) Very well made. heavy construction. The handles snap tight and the vent allows steam to escape. 2) You get 3 units for a cheap price. 3) I've used them in the microwave for cooking/steaming veggies like broccoli, onions, carrots. 4) Microwave cooking takes about 8 minutes but may vary depending on your microwave.
