A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

I use such models on many objects, but mostly as CAP. Pros: Cheap to create a seamless network, for a small number of subscribers can be used as a CAPsMAN controller. If there is somewhere to hide and a small coverage area, then a good option for a CAP, since dual-frequency cymbals are much more expensive. With its cons. Yes, but only for those who want to keep 1000 subscribers, and process 1000 firewall rules, and so that without dancing with a tambourine. This is not professional equipment…

The product does not match the description, poor quality.

I read a lot of laudatory reviews on the Internet, I decided to try to buy, as a result, it does not completely cover a 3-room apartment, LAN ports instead of 4x are only 3, the setup is very complicated (the provider’s technicians even refused to set it up for money), I had to dig on the Internet for 3 hours, figure out how it is configured (configured) Wouldn't recommend to anyone no pros

Cons
  • LAN ports total 3 (1 WAN port, 5th OUT) complicated setup weak transmitter

One of the best deals, glad I bought this.

I am not a very advanced user in network settings, but I regret that I did not pay attention to the MikroTik brand and their router models before. This is a bomb"! Completely different level to the plus side. You will have such opportunities to work with the network, you will be so captured by RouterOS that you will not let go! Probably it will sound funny, but I bought this model to work with the Huawei E3276 modem (Megaphone M150-1). Where I live, there is no local network. However, this does

Pros
  • Excellent router, very flexible and wide settings. Two WiFi bands 2.4 and 5 GHz can work simultaneously. Support for many models of 3G/4G modems. Compact size, with a powerful processor Atheros QCA9531, 650 MHz. RouterOS License L4, with the ability to connect up to 200 users. A small price to pay for the richest networking capabilities. No protruding antennas.
Cons
  • It would be possible to make the On / Off button, but the designers know better.

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

An excellent router, except for a weak transmitter. The old RB951G-2HnD at the entrance was fishing from the 6th floor. Some pros: + RouterOS with all the consequences: an unimaginable mountain of settings, flexibility, reliability and inflexibility + good processor + enough memory for home use + support for Wi-Fi 8022022ac and the 5GHz band + simple appearance (I especially appreciate it) Cons: - VERY, damn it, a weak transmitter, it catches terribly already through one wall in one room…

I can't stop being happy with the purchase, a very good deal!

Before that there was a Linksys E2022. After he burned down, he began to look for a worthy alternative. I bought this router and I'm happy as an elephant. Wi-Fi speed became higher (tested on a torrent downloader, but I had to first set up work with the corresponding port according to the manual), the unstable operation of the ball through Wi-Fi was gone. The router is well hidden on the periphery of the desktop and is invisible. I did not find any shortcomings.

Pros
  • Set and forget. Compact. Works in two ranges at the same time. Good signal strength even without an external antenna. Rectangular (easy to hide)

A really necessary purchase, glad I found this product.

mmkrotik opens the way to the world of normally implemented network technologies. everything works with a couple of mouse clicks. ideal for students. With its pros. for mere pennies, you can do everything that you are used to in large, adult routers. Zukhel lovers, try to connect two routers via vpn and make NAT not from inside the tunnel, but inside it. vpn to with normal encryption. Its cons: weak processor, at 15 megabits vpn the load on the processor is about 40, and encryption does not…

Average purchase, there are some things to complain about.

The eternal disease of home (cheap) routers - with a large number of connections and a multiplicity of heavy sessions (torrents, video streams, etc.), the connection simply falls down, and nothing is reflected in the logs. So if you take it to replace the same freezing router, then you should not hope for an ideal work out of the load. Probably worth the money, but the declared wide dual-band functionality is unreliable. I do NOT recommend buying a home with more than one client.

Pros
  • Cheap, compact, functional
Cons
  • At high load, connections (5Ghz) fall down.

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

I'm a fan and would recommend to everyone. If the routers are only MikroTik. I myself have two of these, one in the apartment, the second in the country. A small hAP AC lite is enough for a two-story house - the router is on the first one, and the office with the computer is on the second. And not just enough, but you can fully, for example, play online, watch IPTV at the same time and surf with the whole family in 3-4 devices.

Pros
  • I have been using the router for about 5 years, compared to other Wi-Fi routers, the signal is just heaven and earth. There are no complaints about the stability of work. RouterOS allows you to configure very cool options, for example, set bandwidth restrictions on some poppy address, or prohibit traffic on some IP.
Cons
  • RouterOS is intimidating at first, but YouTube is full of video tutorials.

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

Familiar with Mikrotik products, initially, thanks to work. At one time, it was decided in the whole office to change the Linux router of the machine to the same type of Mikrotik RB1100 routers, as well as WiFi routers to the same type of Mikrotik BaseBox 2. Very cool and powerful pieces of iron for relatively little money. I bought this WiFi box (hAP AC Light) for my home to replace Zyxel Kinetic Light III and ASUS RT-N12.

Pros
  • Amazing box for a very modest price! All Mikrotik products, despite the different hardware inside, work under the same RouterOS, which is nothing more than an almost full-fledged Linux. Opportunities are just darkness, hence the main drawback, described below. A very good signal coverage area, despite the fact that the antennas are internal. It is possible to connect a 4G modem to a USB port (port 2.0, do not expect special speeds) or a flash drive / external hard drive (the hard drive must be with its own separate power supply, because the box simply won’t pull it out) and make a small router out of home network storage or exchange network folder (it is better to format a flash drive / hard drive in the ext3 file system). It seems to me that the router will perfectly understand the connection of several devices via a USB hub, although I have not tried this option.
Cons
  • For fans, pressing two or three buttons to fully configure the device is not suitable. Here you need to either understand the basic principles of setting up a network in Linux and then you won’t have to poke around for a very long time, or read manuals, watch videos on YouTube. For an amateur, you will need a maximum of 2-3% of the capabilities of the operating system.

Best thing I have ever used, highly recommended!

I have long wanted to take a microt and finally took it. It works quite stably, but faced one drawback. If you configure OpenVPN on it, keep in mind that micros do not support UDP transport in hardware + they do not support SHA256 and support for AES encryption algorithms is limited, which is used in openvpn configs. TLS with OpenVPN also did not start on it. All this is googled, but it was somehow a little hidden from the eyes. Otherwise, an excellent router for red-eyed experiments or for…

I am very happy with this purchase, I will advise everyone!

The model is exclusively for "advanced" users, or those who want to become "advanced". Resources and functionality will be enough not only for home, but also for a small office. I can’t say about the signal strength, in a 1-room apartment from the kitchen to the room it finishes perfectly. Different pros: Incredible functionality for a more than modest price. Very compact. The quality of work without complaints. RouterOS is something that you fall in love with immediately and forever, having

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

On setting up - the Internet is full of information, only here it is quite possible to configure the firewall incorrectly in the absence of experience. Well, immediately after turning it on, it is worth closing some ports and access to the admin panel of the router from the outside, except for the local network. Pros below: Wired Stability Availability of PoE input All five Ethernet ports can be used as you like (for example, I use the second one as a WAN, because the first one is the input for

Average product, you can do better.

A good device for organizations, given the flexibility of OS and PoE configuration. But IMHO in 2022 to put in a router that costs not 1500r ports per 100Mbps is a mockery. Having network storage at home and Internet speeds above 100Mbps, I was upset. And it also catches wifi at 5GHz very badly, since I lived for some time in a panel house and the signal from one internal antenna was not enough, that is, to build a normal network, you need to buy several and make a mesh. Otherwise, it will…

Pros
  • -PoE -RouterOS - Dimensions
Cons
  • - 100Mbps ports in 2022, in a device for that kind of money? - Internal antennas - 1 antenna for 5Ghz (also internal), respectively, the signal is weak. - Overpriced

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm impressed! Exactly the product deserves your attention.

As a device for a person who has an idea of \u200b\u200bworking at the 2-3 OSI level, that's it. It is possible to solve specific tasks, and interesting implementations of traditional tasks - for example, I have a script that reboots the usb modem in case the connection to this modem is lost. In general, if the goal is how to install fault-tolerant equipment and at the same time learn how to work with networks - the best choice.

Pros
  • Good Wi-Fi, for a device without an external antenna. Depth and breadth of settings, you can do literally anything, up to a get-request on a schedule. Good documentation on the wiki page, easy enough to figure out even for a beginner with RouterOS
Cons
  • As an out-of-the-box solution, it would probably be a bad option - the setup is far from trivial. If you are not an IT specialist and do not plan to become one, it would probably be better to stay with more traditional manufacturers.

Another wonder box from Mikrotik

Works very well. I added it to my CAPSMAN home install. I like the additional 5GHz capability. I'm a networking pro and have been using them for a while. This is not a typical home router and requires knowledge of networks and how they work. I wouldn't recommend this as a home solution for the average user, but if you know and know what JUNOS and IOS are, then give it a try. I switched from Cisco to Mikrotik and my wallet is a lot happier.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Not everything is as good as it says

Great access point for IT; POE 5ghz

I have several ROUTERBOARDs. I bought this little access point to use POE in the 5GHz band. I highly recommend it. Several of my computers have spilled over the 2.4 GHz band. Of course we introduced CAT5E; but 3 laptops and 2 phones connected to WIFI. This little box allows us to stream FLAC audio (5-6 MB/s) perfectly. We are fortunate to have fiber optics to our homes; So our GB switch handles a lot of traffic and only connects to our POE. I don't know if I would recommend it to anyone who…

I have no idea how to set it up, minimal instructions

From a technical point of view this router works fine. However, I have absolutely no idea how to change the settings on this one. It has ZERO instructions on how to set it up, change the password, etc. If you turn it on you will easily find 2 public/unsecured signals, but you have to guess which one is 5 GH and which one is 2.4, they don't even tell about it ! I tirelessly searched for videos on YouTube or wherever including their website for next steps. It comes with a small booklet that…

Does the job well

This is a great little router/access point for the price and what I needed. My main WiFi hotspot at home is an old EnGenius EAP 1200 hotspot that covers our two-story network for most devices. But lately we've gotten a bunch of 'smart' devices like cameras, a garage door opener, a robot vacuum cleaner, smart switches, etc., and some of them have pretty pathetic WiFi antennas. So I bought this to help them. Pros: * It has RouterOS and is super customizable. Multiple SSIDs, decent firewall rules,

Dismal Wi-Fi performance

Edit: After some fiddling around, I found that the problem was my own stupidity and a bit of ignorance. It turns out that the program I was using to determine which channels nearby Wi-Fis were on was actually taxing my laptop's network card. We close the program and the bandwidth jumps to 85 Mbit/s. I've observed a similar phenomenon with an uplink router where I'm getting >250 Mbps throughput. Program for listening to wireless channels, 20 Mbit / s, turn it off and get almost 300 Mbit / s…
