Not a bad product, but I expected a little more.

Bottom line: an excellent machine for professional admins and an absolute overhead for home use. 5% of the functions will be used, and with their setting you will have to dance with a tambourine with all your might. The biggest disappointment is the inability to install your own software and a buggy web interface. Has pros: * The broadest possibilities. * PoE both input and output (can power PoE device itself), USB * Stability and reliability of the brand. Where the previous DLInk was…

A valuable purchase, some advantages!

In domestic use, it is redundant, in my opinion, many functions will be useful to few people at home, for example, each of the ports can be configured. I took myself for wi-fi roaming and experiments. + I consider the adjustable power of the transceiver. Some pros: For me, this is a new device. Forces to read the Internet and learns to adjust correctly. During the use of failures or any technical problems were not. Cons below: Thought it would be easier to set up. CAPs MEN and firewall caused…

Not a bad product, quite normal quality.

Apparently, all Wi-Fi routers die with enviable regularity, it is not clear what this is connected with, apparently the iron in them is still not durable (even in expensive ones, even in cheap ones). I have changed 6 routers over the last 5 years. The first 8-10 months everything is fine, then lags begin, packet losses, do not cling to additional. devices or clings them problematic. This was rated a ball lower only because of not durability. Everything else in it is cool, well, you need to…

Pros
  • The router is really cool, the speed and quality of communication is at a high level. I have never had a better router! (out of 5 previous and one subsequent)
Cons
  • After two years of active use (I played a lot in world of tanks, not a small load), I began to lose packets, at first it helped to turn off stupidly from the outlet, but over time this became useless.

Steep learning curve, but worth it for me

This is a great wireless router, but it's not meant to be programmed by a beginner. I've been using Mikrotik routers for many years and I'm always discovering new features. Don't expect it to work out of the box, programming is required to make it work the way you want it to. Knowing what a router does and what needs to be done to make it work helps a lot, but if you take the time to look at the wiki you will know what you need to know, but it will take hours or days to find out . If you want a

Great Features!: Wireless Access Points

I have been using Mikrotik for a long time and this unit has never let me down! I bought it because I know how to use them, I've used them many times and they do exactly what I need, it's also a very flexible network operating system (RouterOS). Now the bad news: if you're not knowledgeable about networking, if you're not at all interested in the command line, if you don't like looking up answers to your questions on internet forums and wikis, if you want some IT pros in your area have yours…

Manic setup. But extremely functional.

I've had this router for a few months now. Here are my thoughts: Installation: Installing MikroTik is clearly not for the faint of heart. This thing has all the options you could want in the most complicated way. For some strange reason, fairly infrequently used settings like RADIUS are in the top-level navigation item in the configuration, while "everyday" things like changing the WiFi password require you to go to the "Wireless Network" section, and then there's a " Security Profiles" where…

Big. If you know what you're doing.

I bought one of these thinking my IT experience would apply, but it's a lot more complicated than I expected. It needs to be set up right away, but if you know what you're doing then this product is for you, if you're like me and don't know RouterOS like the back of your hand, save yourself a few extra hairs and go for a quality consumer product.

Another brilliant product in the Mikrotik range

It has enterprise level features in a home user sized body. So happy with this unit, especially the ability to control the UPS and use scripts to wake up/sleep connected computers in the event of a power outage. It literally has all the features you could want even in big business.

Like all MikroTik products, it is AMAZING.

MikroTik is one of those companies that nobody really knows about. But once you know about them, you will never go back. They offer different products that use the same kernel, RouterOS. With a little Google, forum searching, and configuration testing, you should be able to customize any device they make. This device, 951Ui-2HnD, is a 5-port SOHO Fast Ethernet (10/100) router. It is equipped with a 680MHz Atheros MIPS processor and is rarely loaded, even when multiple clients are trading…

Pros
  • High Quality Build
Cons
  • Requires Socket

I was looking for a quality router for a basic wireless setup at home. It must work in a hot room and still have a long service life. After some research I settled on MikroTik RB951Ui-2Hnd. However, installation was easy as I had the router up and running in 5 minutes. The router's WiFi signal was very good as I got full signal through 3 solid concrete walls. I would definitely recommend this router to anyone looking for a quality router. Even if you use it as your basic home network…

BEGINNERS AND NON-TECHNICIANS ARE NOT AFRAID OF THIS ROUTER!

Newbies and those of you with no technical background, don't be afraid of this router! Creepy comments from IT pros and nerds are outdated. Mikrotik has added pre-configured profiles so any home user can connect this router in less than 5 minutes! I've installed many routers in my time and this is the easiest thing I've ever done. This RB951 is just amazing for the price. This is a commercial quality that has all the features of a $1000+ router. I bought it for use in an out of state rental…

Five Stars: Wireless Access Points

Excellent router for the money. I've installed hundreds. These routers are not intended for users with little networking knowledge. Edited 03/2017: If you order from Alien Net, the wrong router will be delivered. Received (4) RB951Ui-2nD (no "H"), HAP Series. It's a completely different router that the 2HnD badly lacks, and at $56.92 each, they're well above the MSRP for the RB951Ui-2nD. Nonetheless, nice try.
