Not convinced of the durability

Tape measure in use for 3 years, rarely used in industrial construction for evaluation purposes. Probably about the same number of uses on it as on a wooden frame for 2 weeks. Also noticed that the recoil spring is on the weaker side. The strap broke about 3 feet, I've never seen that before. I don't think my use should have resulted in that much damage, not after 3 years. I've seen much older and much cheaper roulettes that still work.

Pros
  • Double magnets prevent rolling away when measuring steel bolts, metric and threaded rods
Cons
  • old

It was crap. A friend recommended this guy and LET YOU SAY IT! There is a video explaining all the features of this roulette! This is madness! Pros
  • Finger stopper protects fingers when retracting blade
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Most other bands work the other way around and you have to click the lock to keep it open and then click the lock to close it. Well my Craftsman band is almost 30 years old and spring is showing it, also the measurements on the first 6 inches are hard to read. This Milwaukee tape is better than my Craftsman and my new Goto tape. In big stores you can get a nice wide strap with a…
