Does the job but it's better to have the power to do it

This heat gun is very simple. There are no heat settings, nothing to play with. Just plug in the battery, pull the trigger and melt things. This heat gun gets nice and hot. But it takes a lot of power to do that, and that's difficult for a cordless tool. I had a 5Ah battery and it ran out of juice after about 20-30 minutes of use. If you save some money and get yourself some big Milwaukee batteries like 9 or 12Ah, you can probably get some distraction from it. Anyway, great tool.

Phenomenal Tool - Soldering and Soldering Accessories

I build and repair my own golf club. I use a heat gun and a dremel, both corded, so handling cords can be a pain. I switched to this hair dryer and a Milwaukee rotary tool with a Dremel universal chuck. The male! no matter. The heat gun heats up quickly and then works as it should. I use a 5 amp battery so that's not a problem, it lasts quite a while. It gets hot enough to heat the hose (metal) and take the shaft off, that's pretty hot. I also use it to remove double sided tape, no sweat! I…

I know it's a cordless tool but I expected more from this hair dryer. I don't like that it doesn't have a trigger lock (which I knew before buying but would have preferred) and the worst thing about it is the lack of power, now I wasn't looking for a hair dryer. The levels are there, but heck it's so weak you'll have to need anything you want to heat up within an inch or less! The battery life is acceptable and the shape is okay, but the overall lack of blowing power and the just-adequate…

Doesn't live up to expectations.

First review on Amazon because I was very disappointed. FIRST: This is by no means a replacement for a cheap heat gun. It takes about 20 seconds for the device to heat the shrink butt connector and maybe another 30 seconds for it to shrink (compared to a $10 mic or port cargo gun, which starts and finishes in just a few seconds ). I ended up leaving it because it's good for vinyl, paint, and resin work where having tons of air/heat output isn't important. It was originally purchased for mobile…

Well I'm a Milwaukee fan, when will I find an M12/18 tool to replace a corded or pneumatic tool? count me However, this heat gun does not live up to expectations. First of all, this tool cannot completely replace the connected heat gun; and I'm assuming freight traffic in the port. The first test with the gun was the Baby 2.0's battery and heating the Subaru's side panel to roll up the fender edge. I didn't have high expectations, but this battery died before the panel was warm enough to turn…
