So I almost gave up on it because of internal thread leaking issues. I was ready to put it back in the box and return it, but decided to give it one last try. I removed the shower bracket and filed the end of the thread. Sawing created a wider flat surface at the ends of the threads, increasing the contact area for sealing. Well because the leak was very small a large one leaked on its own. The only leak on my project is the union nut on this assembly. Definitely stay away from it. Finally got him back. I bought another one without the union nut and everything is fine. After receiving another one, I found that the threads are a bit short in this device. Stay away from it again.
