Overall the item is pretty good but one of the pictures led me to believe that it was closed at the bottom, so after the actual installation (I didn't look at it until the electrician installed it) I saw the product was open at the bottom so at the bottom of the stairs you can see the internal electrical parts. Not suitable for this application.

Better than expected! Very heavy metal and strong glass. Bought to be attached to a stone wall and although this project is ongoing at the time of writing this article I can't wait to see this beautiful wall light that lights up and down the profile of the stone. Very happy with the bra, they were well packaged and arrived quickly.

This gave us the look we wanted. It's built very strong. And because they're larger than regular bras, I didn't have to worry about painting to touch up where the new bra didn't cover what the old bra did. The bulbs are also very easy to swap out if needed as there are no screws or other fasteners holding the glass in place - just slide it up and out, replace the bulb and reinsert the glass.

When mounted in a vertical box, the mounting plate interferes with the cables. It's not impossible to get it to work, but it's a stupid design flaw. We ended up replacing our box with a round box so the plate is mounted at a 45 degree angle instead. Otherwise this is a good light. It emits most of the light from above and little from below, in case that matters. UPDATE: Someone asked to take a picture of them on the landing. Here and yes!

This is a beautiful metal lamp. It looks great and really brings out my man cave color. I installed it at the top of the stairs leading down to the basement. Going down the stairs looks great, but going up the stairs you can see the "guts" through the floor. I wish they had sold a black "bottom" piece that I could use to cover this space so you can see the lamp socket or wires. That being said, I fitted an equivalent 60w LED and it works great. We have an atrium living room with an adjoining hallway at one end connecting the great room with the foyer and master bedroom. We bought two of these sconces to place on each wall along the walkway that opens fully into the living room. This wall light is a beautiful example of quality workmanship and style. This is of course the Mission/Craftsman style, which is very attractive in many situations. The build quality is excellent. The metal base is very heavy and beautifully finished. The glass insert is also well made and it's a very thick glass with a nice subtle finish that allows light to shine through.
