Doesn't work, don't waste your money.

I bought this transcooler to replace a 25 year old one but I think I'll be returning it. The trance was never over 170, times 180, today times 240 outside, had to stop to cool off after only 10 miles, on the photo they are on the way back. it sucks

Pros
  • Ideal for any supercharged or turbocharged heavy duty truck
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

Instead, get a big forklift for towing heavy loads.

Didn't lower the temperature as much as I was hoping. If I were to do it again I would try a big stacker type. Temp just dropped 30* This was my second type of switchback. The first had no fan. Still temps up to 225* on long hot hits on my 3500 lb Casita TT with my 05 4Runner v6. I use synthetic liquid.

Pros
  • Includes mounting hardware for universal installation
Cons
  • Don't remember

One of the best products I have added to my 2001 Chevy 1500 HD

One of the best products I have added to my 2001 Chevy 1500 HD! It's twice the size of my regular transcooler! I painted it black so it's not as visible behind bars. I bought a wiring harness from O'Reilly for $13 with a 4 amp fuse and a switch with an indicator light (to know if it's on or not) so far so good, I'll get it in a couple Looking at weeks when I'm pulling my 24 foot trailer up the vine. Will update again.

Pros
  • Construction: Aluminum tube and fin
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Happy 6.2L SS

The fan hits the condenser pretty hard and my Mishimoto radiator also dropped 9 degrees to my coolant temp on my radiator. It's not even part of the transmission cooler assembly. Pretty cool! I won't lie, it's quite noisy when turned on by itself. But I'm on a straight X-pipe, so my Camaro is practically killing the fan sound. I used the wire harness that came with my replacement "fog light wire harness and fuse". So an LED wire harness costs about $15. Then get $70 from Mishimoto.

worked for me A good product.

I have a 2013 Ford F-150 3.5L V6 EcoBoost. I had trouble towing up steep hills and the truck started overheating. I had a new (Freak-O-Boost) aftermarket cooler installed and also had this trans cooler installed at the same time. The fan turns on along with the radiator fan. A combination of both seemed to solve my problem. A full trailer load is approximately 6,200 pounds. I raised it to Sherwin's level (passing Bishop in California on the way to Mammoth). Anyone who has driven a 395 knows the

Transmission temperature lowered by 10 degrees.

We had a Hummer H2 truck with a transmission that stubbornly overheated both in the heat and when towing a trailer. This transmission cooler/fan combination was installed in series rather than parallel at the recommendation of a transmission specialist. Since the H2 doesn't have room to mount in front of the main radiator, we had to mount it on the bottom of the frame and two on one side. Although the location is far from ideal, the fan helps overcome this limitation. The average temperatureโ€ฆ

Affordable, compact, high-performance forced air cooler

I bought this radiator to install a hydraulic winch on my jeep. Flow and pressure result in higher fluid temperature, especially when drawing. This radiator works great and fits neatly and neatly behind the grille of my JK Jeep. I used the hardware that came with it and attached it directly to the cross brace, simple, simple. The fan is loud so be prepared and it's electrically noisy; I hear it on my CB but not on the radio so it's good. It has a large surface area and the fan moves a lot ofโ€ฆ
