I have had iPhones for 10 years now and now I have six in my family. Over the years I have used Monoprice Select, Anker, Apple and many other brands. These are the best so far. They're tough, durable, have decent strain relief, and last longer than others. I understand that Anker and Monoprice offer a lifetime warranty on my old cables. But the best guarantees, in my opinion, are the ones you don't have to call for.

I use it specifically for my car as the USB port is in the center console compartment. The flat cable allows me to thread it through the locking cap without pinching it too much.

I bought this expensive cable for a specific purpose where I needed a ribbon cable. It looked beautiful. But. After 6 weeks of little use, the telephone code plug is defective. By light use I mean about 10 inserts into the phone in 6 weeks. The gold color has come loose from the pins in the connector and now it won't charge the phone at all. Very disappointed!

Needed a cable to charge the phone in the car. The wire had to be bent a bit at the base of the Lightning connector, but the material used in this cable wasn't made for such a small task. It's a ribbon cable, I understand. Cable housing will be minimal with little insulation BUT there has been little to no use or abuse before this cable failed and intermittently charged on various USB ports. I can't recommend a cable that will break with very light use, so thumbs down for Monoprice's flat…
