The outdoor CAT6 cable in the internal TV tuner & capture card

Uses this cable between my FIOS ONT and my router. Thick cable (similar to RG59/RG6 coaxial cable). Very durable cable jacket. The cable ends were long (e.g. RJ45 + cable clamp) so it was a bit difficult to close the FIOS ONT case door. I would definitely recommend this cable if you need to route it inside out (e.g. POE cameras can use it too).

Pros
  • is even clear to the old
Cons
  • . There are other interesting options.

UV, weatherproof, white but cheap fasteners

Looks like CAT6 or better outdoor cable, UV resistant, weatherproof and white are rare. Most of these wires are black in color and this is not good for running along the white trim of the house. These CAT 6 cables aren't cheap, and yet the manufacturer prefers to use really cheap, flimsy RJ45 connectors on each end. The locking tabs in particular will bend at the slightest provocation and will inevitably break with repeated plugging and unplugging, so caution is advised when purchasing.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Compatibility

Good cable insulation; Terrible speeds of 100MB

I don't understand. Every CAT5e or CAT6 cable I've used has always delivered gigabit speeds. . Otherwise hardly gets 100 MB. I saw another review that said the same thing and I blew it away thinking that this guy probably didn't know what he was talking about. Well he did and I got the same result. Unfortunately it would be too difficult to rip out and replace so I'll keep it but I'm giving it 2 stars because it's a serious problem. Although the coverage and stability appear to be excellent.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Maddening

Low bandwidth

The cable works but the speed is disappointing. This 75-foot Category 6 outdoor cable only pulls 130MB directly from the cable modem/router, while the same length of Category 5e cable pulls 300+ (the speed of our service). I bought this Cat6 thinking that it would only run 75 feet that it would be better than the Cat5e and drove it outside the house to break through another room. Definitely disappointed with the speeds achieved. It may be worth looking elsewhere for a better cable.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • There are downsides

thicker than your typical Cat6

I have used these cables for my outdoor PoE cameras, 50, 75, 100 and even 150 feet. The T28 stapler is NOT wide enough for this wire, you have to be very careful. Dahua and HiKvision cameras came with ethernet weatherseals that required cutting molded rubber scraps from the RJ45 camera side. my sharp pocket knife made it pretty easy.

Pros
  • Normal price
Cons
  • Weak set
