Used to replace the cable that came with your ViewSonic monitor. This cable was not reliable. I often had to fiddle with it in my Macbook's connector. This cable is a plus and it works. It's very short. Due to the size of my monitor. I can't even hold my laptop 1 inch away from the monitor. I wanted shorter, but this one is barely enough.

Was very confused at first as after using this cable my screen went completely black. After delving into the settings, I realized that if I wanted to use the native 2k (2560 x 1440) resolution, I had to reduce the refresh rate to 60Hz in the NVIDIA settings. This is unfortunate as my monitor supports 144Hz. The cable is nice and long as advertised (15ft!), but unfortunately it falls short of most other shorter options and the store page seems to be trying to hide that fact.

Of the seven cables I purchased, this was the only mini DP-DP cable that could actually transmit 240Hz without flickering. Please do yourself a favor and don't waste your money trying to save $2 on other cables. I'm a stingy person, so spending $10 on a cable hurt me, but this was one of those moments where you really get what you explore. Monoprice has the best guarantee and guarantees. Your QC is quite large. You bought an expensive AF monitor, don't burn it with a cheap cable.
